Wireless Wii Nunchuk, only $9.88 from Target! + Wii Tips!

310

Was walkin' through Target Cannington(WA) today and saw these Datel Blade FX Wireless Nunchuks on some random bottom shelf on special from $29.95 down to $9.88. I've gotten home and tried it, and it works okay. I think I might pick one more up tomorrow just to check how the two interact with each other, to see if you can use more than one in a single room.

I think the great thing about this is the size of the receiver, it's small enough that it might just fit in other Wii Remote Add-ons, etc. like tennis rackets, lightsabers, etc. Since it's so cheap too, you can pick it up almost just as an extra nunchuk (maybe so you don't spoil your real wired Nintendo one?)

I'd also just like to share some tips for the Wii enthusiasts out there, kinda made a great deal yesterday… So in a previous post I happened onto a bunch of Kmart $15 dollar games (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/13844) that I then used to swap for 2 Grand Slam Tennis with Wii MotionPlus. (If you're interested, Game still has Wonderworld Amusement and Ghost Squad online for $19, which you can use to trade.) ANYWAY, so I kept the two Wii MotionPlus adapters, and brought the two Grand Slam Tennis (sorry not my thing) games to EBGames, who are currently givin' $38 dollar store credit for each one, plus 10% because of an Edge card, which equals to $41.80 x 2, equals $83.60 worth of store credit. If I've lost you, here's a recap… I spent $60 dollars on 4 games, then traded it in for 2 Grand Slam Tennis', and only kept the 2x Wii MotionPlus, which cost 30 dollars each anyway, so I'm at par. AND THEN, I got EBGames to price match JB-Hifi's House of the Dead: Overkill BANG BANG BOX Set instore at $89 (http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/Product/406980)

AND ONLY PAID $5.40 for it. (That's a 94% saving.)

So now I have these two AWESOME hand cannons that are just the best Wii accessories EVER. FINALLY… goin back to the original topic of this post, I sawed off bits of the wireless nunchuk receiver (hey, it's just $9.88), the part that clips at the bottom of the Wii Remote, and it fits snugly within the hammer chamber of the pistol. So now I can play games like Red Steel, which require you to 'flick' the nunchuk, without being impeded by a wire, or without doing it awkwardly in a Wii Zapper. To the Wii owners out there who know what I'm talking about, seriously, try it, it's awesome.

Pant, pant. K m done.

  • great find + effort to list this deal

  • is it only in wa?

    • -1

Umm… is what only in WA? I don't think so, I bet all Targets have this, but maybe have a check at your local Target? As for the JB and EBGames stuff, I'm pretty sure that's nationwide.

  • +1

Nah….i think it's everywhere. I've gotten it a few weeks ago when target has it's 15% off storewide. It's good as a spare but sometimes undetectable.
That's why the price has been dropped by 1/3. Buy at own risk. I wasn't that happy with it. But good effort on the post.

  • Thanks for the tip, Ranma. How did you get Grand Slam Tennis with Wii MotionPlus for $30 each? They sell for $100 each at EBgames. The Motion Plus alone sells for $35 each at EBgames. See: http://www.ebgames.com.au/productSearch.cfm?sort=sd&title=pl…

    • Kmart, 4 games, 15 each = 60 Bucks.

JB hifi , 2 games = Grand Slam Tennis+ Motion Plus
2 games = Grand Slam Tennis+ Motion Plus

      Keep 2 Motion PLUS

      GO EB GAMES

      • I was wondering the same till I understood that that currently JB Hifi are currently offering a selected new game (such as GSTennis/MotionPlus) when you trade in two games not on their exclude list. Thanks for the post!

  • Love the detail and your effort into this! :)

  • Great effort!

  • Wow, great price. I so need one of these, I keep hitting myself all over when playing EA Sports Active or tripping myself up on the cord.

    • Couldn't find any at Target in the Myer Centre Brisbane :(

  • Thanks! Just picked up 2 at Bourke St Melb… still a few left

  • Quite alot left at Target Greensborough (Vic) - they have pink as well.

  • I check EB games and tradein for EB Grand Slam Tennis for $15 dollars only. Don't like EB Grand Slam myself but the trade in does not match $38 as you mention. Which EB store gives $38 for trace in ? I would want that

    • really?? Weird.. uh oh.. maybe they caught onto this site? Eek. I traded mine in at EBGames Carousel in Cannington, Perth. Just yesterday too. You sure? JB and Game are trading it in for about 24-26 each.

    • same….$15….what a fkn pittance

      • this post might be a bit outdated now… they also only offered me $15, but just wanted to mention that i kept the wii motionplus, and sold the title for $50 on ebay :D

  • Are there any that are white? Don't like the blue colour

    • i only saw blue and pink, but according to other online sources, there is a white version.. i'm just not sure if target would have it though.. has anyone seen white?

      • I only saw blue and pink.

  • I work at Target, and these are only sold in blue and pink. Though never thought of getting one as they dont look like they would work well or last long. Anyone used these? Are they decent?

    • most of the online review say its a piece of junk, loses sync time to time.

      • I've had bad experiences with Datel hardware in the past as well. USB WiFi adapter to connect DS/Wii to the internet. Could never get it to connect.

  • Bought two and will be taking them back to Target today - they don't work very well.
