  • Awesome, new xbox for me :-)
Anyone know what the resale value of the included games are at eb/jb?

    • Pretty low for those 3 games… These are the ones that get traded in the most often, so don't expect much at all.

  • Nothing for SA by the looks

  • Nice… am contemplating getting it cos my 1st gen X360 is starting to go a bit wacky

  • Very nice price

  • not in SA ?

  • xbox 360 arcade doesn't have a harddrive. You will need to buy a xbox 360 hard drive. anyway, it's still a good deal.

  • Can we get a mod to change it to Xbox 360 Arcade bundle + 2 games. The arcade bundle basically comes with an arcade game compilation and then there are an additional 2 more games in this package.

Other than that, great deal :)

If anyone is thinking of getting a xbox, now is the time. This is a great deal - with or without the games. "Live" isn't really a game. The games on it are arcade and last about 5 minutes. It'll be weeks before you bother playing pacman again.

I got my xbox during the halo wars sale and I've never looked back. No xboxes were being sold close to that price for 2 or 3 months.

Crackdown is a decent game, pretty low reviews for 99 nights, viva pinata isn't all that fun, and I've no idea about the other one. Resale on ebay will get you less than $10 for each game, more if you are lucky.

Not sure if this is the older edition xbox, or the jasper model. jaspers have 256 mb built in, older ones have a physical card. 3 years warranty can be bought for less than $30 if they ask, so don't pay more than that.

Ever since buying my xbox I've been nothing but happy. Even xbox live's marketplace is a fun place to check out.

This is a good price. Haven't seen any 360's at this price for a while.
$10 cheaper than the BIG W arcade pack they have on special at the moment, which comes with the usual 5 game Arcade Disc and Sonic Superstars Tennis Game for $248.

Just make sure to double check that its a Jasper console with HDMI. As there have been reports of old non HDMI consols still being sold.

Wow…. hopefully this means the stores will one day selling just the Arcade unit (without the extra games not already included in the box) for less than $200?

I've already got an Arcade… but I want to buy a Jasper arcade for the bedroom (as a media extender, not for gaming).

  • Are the games on the exclusion list for either EB or GAMES for trading in? Also, does the console have HDMI?

  • Just picked one up from HN Auburn. Yes they do have HDMI. Manufacture date is 11/2008

    • I can second that. Picked one up from HN Cannington. Make sure you get them to open up the box to check that it does have HDMI. The sales rep was telling me some of their stock didnt have HDMI.

      • Interesting. I might get it just for SF4. Do people still play that? lol

  • Here is some information on how to identify that you have or the sealed 360 pack you are about to purchase is the latest Jaster Xbox 360 console revision.

    http://giftguide.toptenreviews.com/?p=2721

Those who recently picked up there arcade packs. What revision did you get? The previous Falcon or the latest Jasper Revision, and What was the manufacturing date of the console?

Anything manufactured in 2008 will likely be a Falcon with HDMI. Anything from 2009 will certainly be the latest Jasper revision. Although some Jasper consoles started to appear at the end of 2008.

    • Bought mine from Harvey Norman in chaddie. Its a falcon unfortunately, last 360 they had though so not much i could do about it. Its lot 0840X no mention of a manufacture date.
They didn't have the second game so gave me $50 off any other game, happened to have GoW2 Special edition on sale for $77, so i took that quite happily.

      • you should have gone to eb games to price match it and get the jasper version from there, and that would also mean the xbox 360's wont sell out at harvey norman and then ppl can keep price matching from eb games. they had this deal bout 6 months ago but with the halo wars, i bought 3 consoles and traded back halo wars on all of em from eb games

    • Just checked mine and its a Japser, woot! manufacture date is 2008-11-06.

  • Just be careful with these "specials and bundles" i got an arcade and it was a refurbished unit. It was from 2005 and had a new warranty sticker applied to the inside face cover, was put on and still had the original residue from the first sticker on it. I took it back to BigW and got a refund.

  • I bought one today from Harvey Norman, I can confirm it's the Falcon with a HDMI.

    • Only falcon arcade bundles at my local Harvey Norman Computer/Electrical store Belrose NSW. Arcade Go play LOT 842x Falcon. On the other hand all the elite packs @ $448 were all LOT 901x Jasper consoles.

Also can confirm its the Arcade go play pack with Sega Superstars Tennis + the 2 bonus games. The same one Big W has on special at the moment for $248 without the 2 bonus games

You can tell if it's a Jasper by the Amps on the Power Rating near the serial.

It should read "12,1A", this is guaranteed to inform someone it's a Jasper.

  • We went to Harvey Norman, but they had none in stock.
So we then went to EB where they not only price matched, but allowed us to pick any game as a replacement for Harvey Norman's 2 of 4 games choice.

So we got an XBOX 360 (not Jasper unfortunately, but does have HDMI), Sonic Tennis game, and Fable II for $238.. Bargain!

    • Went to EB in Victoria Park (Perth) first to see if they'd price match, they didn't have any - but then went Harvey Norman Cannington and got a Jasper one. Asked to check if it had HDMI as well when I got it.

    • It's good to see company's living up to their policies and then going above and beyond! :D

  • Update. 17/07/2009 Still plenty of Jasper console available at my Local HN Balgowlah. Seems like still they haven't sold any as they still have the same ammount of consoles available as when I first checked 10 days ago.

    6 x LOT 837x Falcon 14.2a
    9 x Lot 841x Jasper 12.1a
1 x packed upsidedown. Unknown model Lot 841x

    0 x N3: Ninety-Nine Nights
    1 x Crackdown
    7 x Viva Pinyata
    0 x Perfect Dark Zero

For no title available at Balgownlah store. They allowed me to choose another $49.95 title (same as the price sticker on Viva Pinata.

Ended up getting EBrothers In Arms Hells Highway. The only decent title they had at that price.

They aslo have Tom Clancys EndWar @ same price if someone wants that. But I assume you will need to purchase a headset. As this is a voice operated game.

Other stores sold out or only have older flacon models

    0 available Chatswood
3 only falcon model @ Belrose
    0 available Gordon
