1TB USB Lacie Neil Poulton $149 at Harris Tech

170

Harris Technology's price-matching to Officeworks for the same 1TB drive now (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/13772). Some people in here might have an account with HT and get some special discount deals going on, so you can take advantage of that now. I personally think HT's a better place to go to than Officeworks. At least they know what they're talking about most of the time…too bad they're not $1 lower, otherwise we can get Officeworks to price-match it and get a further 5% off! :)

  • Been to 2 OW and 2 HT, all ran out of stock already …

    • Can't you order them in from another stores? I could usually get them to do that if they have stocks in other stores.

  • +1

It's a good price, but I've heard many bad things about 1TB Lacie external hard drives, mostly that they won't last over a year. Just a warning, though you might get a good one.

    • My Lacie 500GB External had some issues; fortunately, it was still within the warranty period.

  • The the drive I got with mine was a Hitachi and not the Seagate most people have reported

  • Office works in S.A must have had about 50 of these in stock last week at the store on Anzac highway. They had pallets of them.

  • My Lacie 500GB (which I got for free (see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/5383)) is very good.

  • BTW, HT and OW are still owned by the same company. HT was set up to cater for the professional market. Furthermore, they're also scanning Flybuys. So I do wonder what the purpose of them price matching actually was.
