LivingSocial Health Tracker Bracelet $59 Delivered

20

Noticed this deal today. The brand says Apphealth but it seems to be a rebranded Codoon health tracker which is similar to the Jawbone Up series.

Tried to search on other sites like Aliexpress and its coming up to about $89+ elsewhere. Looks like this could be a good beginners kit for those who are into health bracelets.

The brandname ones can be picked up < $100 - i wouldnt take a gamble on a no-name for the saving.

  • It's a wrist-mounted pedometer (step counter) that syncs with your IOS/Android phone when you plug it into the headphone port.

    Bear in mind:
    * There's only one size, so it might not fit around your wrist, or might bounce around like a bangle (which will throw off the pedometer)
    * It'll only sync when you unplug your headphones and plug it in to your phone
    * You'll only know how far you've gone, and whether you've hit your daily goal, if you unplug your headphones and plug it in to your phone, as there's no display. You only get that self-competitive, exercise-as-a-game effect when you can see your score; and the harder it is to see your score, the less likely you are to do it and to be motivated by it.

On the plus size, it's about half the price of the Fitbit/Withings pedometers, although they are wireless and have screens.

  • "Similar to As seen on TV".

  • remember when Australia introduced vaccinations? You can use the trackerbot the government injected into you at that time.

  • Most of the value I get from a fitbit is from the web portal/software. The keepfit+ app looks pretty basic. The fitbit also auto-syncs wirelessly and only needs charging once every fortnight, or a new battery every 6 months with the zip.
Considering you can get the fitbit zip for about the same price, I'm not sure who the market is for this?
