  • Once again for an ugg boot sale. Why does the Castle come to mind?

    50% off and still $125.

    Seriously?

    • The Castle, is that because you keep your uggs in the pool room or dig a hole and put them in it?
      I must be dreaming.

  • +1

Because certain sale prices are dreaming.

  • Not bad. The classic short Uggs normally go for around $150-180, so $130 on sale is good even if your normal/RRP price is misleading.

  • Hey, this is great. I originally thought this was the dodgy UGG Australia - made in China by an American company http://www.uggaustralia.com/world-of-ugg-story.html. But in fact this is an Aussie made/owned company http://www.uggbootsaustralia.com.au/about_us.php.

Personally I generally buy my uggs at Mortels http://www.mortels.com.au also a wholly Australian made/owned company.

By way of comparison, the short Ugg:
    uggbootsaustralia (on sale): $125.10
    Mortels (regular price): $79.95

No idea of the quality - uggbootsaustralia does look a bit more flash and they have greater variety in colours.

I would call 'no bargain' except I think being able to find any Australian owned/made ugg is a bargain.

Also, while I was looking at this thread, I was hit with an uggstop.com.au ad - their small uggs are supposedly on sale too at $107.80.

    • LOL, after posting google showed yet another ugg seller.

    • Some of the UGG Australia ones are made in Vietnam also. lol.
Not all of them are made in China.

I'm surprised that ACCC hasn't fined the company yet for their deceptive brand name.

    • Made from 100% Australian sheepskin, designed in Australia by Mortels and manufactured overseas to Mortels quality standards and specifications.

      Manufactured overseas with Oz design.

  • I don't really wanna neg I would like to support aussie businesses but these prices are no deal, I can walk into many retail shops in sydney and pay less than these prices.

  • $25 for the boots, $100 for the name.

They're not even a good shape any more, way too tapered at the toe.

This may be a discount off RRP, but anyone that pays even this 50% is a fool IMHO.

I have a pair that are probs 20 years old, bought at Vic Market for maybe $20. Still good (although they don't get a lot of wear, they're great on a bludge day in the cold weather.

  • Normally buy mine from one of the stalls at the weekend markets (Caribbean Gardens down my way in Sth east Melb). Cant remember what they cost but cheaper than this!

    • But they would be Chinese made copies.

      • you say that like it's a bad thing?!
