Yet another deal on these batteries.
Pretty good value I think but if I'm wrong I'm sure I'll be corrected.

    Why would you care about the colour of batteries if most of the time they are out of sight?

      Because many things take 2 batteries at once and your batteries will last longer and perform better if used and charged as a "set". The colours make it easy to keep the batteries in sets.

    Slow/low self discharge rate. That means that you can charge them and leave them on the shelf and they will still have 80% charge after 6 months.

      Actually with the 3rd and 4th generation Eneloops it's more like 90% after 1 year and 65-70% after 5 years.

      Plus they hold up in very high discharge scenarios in which lesser NiMH cells will fail completely.
