  • $10 shipping minimum, might be good to include that in the subject line.

Also, they are selling 4x4 AAAs at the same price, for those interested.

Even though I don't need 16 the unit price looked OK, until I added shipping… :-(

  • +3

The tropicals were 8 for $19.95 (or 16 for $39.90) and free shipping:

But if you want white ones and not funky coloured or can't wait until the next DSE sale then it's a good deal.

    • Colored one's were great. Especially with two packs of them, I get to match them up!

    • Why would you care about the colour of batteries if most of the time they are out of sight?

      • Because many things take 2 batteries at once and your batteries will last longer and perform better if used and charged as a "set". The colours make it easy to keep the batteries in sets.

        • and the colours make it easy to remember/remind if they have/haven't been charged

  • yeah that's $3.10 each… + shipping usual DSE sales every couple of weeks have them for $2.50 each.

but this is still the best eneloop deal ever

  • SS shipment will arrive before Christmas.

  • For the benefit of the uninitiated, what is so good about Eneloops?

    • +1

Slow/low self discharge rate. That means that you can charge them and leave them on the shelf and they will still have 80% charge after 6 months.

      • Actually with the 3rd and 4th generation Eneloops it's more like 90% after 1 year and 65-70% after 5 years.

Plus they hold up in very high discharge scenarios in which lesser NiMH cells will fail completely.
