  • You can either think of this as a nice bonus for those who are ordering anyway, or if you'd planned to go to the movies, you can subtract the movie cost from your next order and that's the amount you just saved.

people who spend this much money on mass produced factory food to lose weight and save time should spend less time going to the movies and more time either cooking their own food, learning to count their own calories or going for a run around the block.

buying pre cooked meals and watching movies is the last thing you'd want to do if you want to decrease your fatness, stupidity or laziness.

Thanks for the comments devibabies…regarding those who do things differently to you-they must all be fat, stupid and lazy…to offer such insight you must be a truly perfect individual. Your comments are appreciated…although of course you have obviously never used this service or truly understand the multititude or reasons why or when people may choose to use it….you really just wanted to gift us all with your knowledge and perceptive wisdom.

    • Ok, I agree these are not the best meals and do not look like their photos, but they do have a purpose.
Personally, we used these after my wife gave birth. Not that anyone needed to lose weight, just because sometimes you could not be stuffed cooking a meal (and there are only so many pre-made lasagnes you can eat). It really was a means to stop us buying take away food. We did not buy a plan, just a bunch of meals and ate probably 1 or 2 a week. Worked fine.

The fact these guys are still in business, just shows there is a market and free movie tickets is a bonus.
I am pretty sure going to the movies is not one of the main causes of obesity.

      • dinners cost approx $10-$12 depending on how many you buy at a time. they are frozen. they have around 300-400 calories. they are just like the frozen dinners that you can get from a supermarket (who will deliver too), except they cost more than twice as much.

        Baked Turkey
Calories = 327 (tiny .. even most small females would want 500 calories for their main meal)
Ingredients: Potato, Turkey (14%) (Turkey, Salt, Thickener (1442), Water, Dextrose, Vegetable Gum (407), Mineral Salts (451, 452), Preservative (223), Humectant (422), Colour (150c)), Peas, Pumpkin, Chicken Stock, Cauliflower, Water, Cranberry Sauce, Onion, Corn Flour, Flour, Carrot, Red Wine, Sherry, Port, Milk Powder, Cheese, Spices, Butter, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Evaporated Milk, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Cream, Pepper, Onion Extract,

"What goes into every Lite n' Easy meal is exactly the same as you would prepare at home, with only the best quality ingredients and fresh vegetable being used." .. haha yeah, right

is this really worth $12 delivered (regardless of how many free movies they throw in and how many photos of smiling chefs they can plaster over their website)?

        • is this really worth $12 delivered (regardless of how many free movies they throw in and how many photos of smiling chefs they can plaster over their website)?"

Yeah mate, it's worth it - and I've been eating their food for a year now. Still no regrets.

p.s. I am neither fat, lazy nor stupid.

  • +1

so what's the cheapest order cost?

    • I believe the items listed under "other items" can only be added to an existing order, so the minimum is likely to be 5 dinners @ $61 (+ $6 for the esky if you're a first timer buyer).

      • 5 dinners cost $67. that's $13.40 each. example dinners (they all come frozen, ready to microwave):

Homestyle Macaroni Bake (Calories = 465)

Ingredients: Water, Pasta (29%), Tomato, Parmesan, Evaporated Milk, Cheese, Milk Powder, Onion, Modified Starch (1442), Breadcrumbs, Salt, Almonds, Dijon Mustard, Yeast Extract, Onion Extract, Herbs, Pepper

Crumbed Chicken Breast & Wedges (Calories = 342 .. too small as a main meal for even a small person on a very strict diet)

Crumbed Chicken (29%) (Chicken Breast (63%), Breadcrumbs (Colours (100, 160c)), Flour, Vegetable Oil, Thickener (1404), Salt, Starch, Dried Vegetables, Water, Flavour, Vegetable Gum (412), Mineral Salts (500, 450)), Potatoes (19%), Corn, Beans, Carrot, Capsicum, Tomato, Onion, Seasoning, Semi Dried Tomatoes, Sugar, Garlic, Sunflower Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper

ridiculously expensive for $13.40. it's not healthy, home-style or chef cooked or whatever b.s. they are trying to con people with. i can't imagine any reason why a person would think that buying this garbage was a good idea, other than sheer ignorance.
