How can it be ended when it hasn't even started yet?

I think EB is the best for anyone who wants a Wii-U, and I'm going to buy the Big W version for $52.20.

Out of all the Wii U games that have come out they're giving all the great deals to the one that would've sold regardless.

    • Yes, but, that makes people who wanted to buy a wii-u but didn't have one a better reason to get one.

But yeah. I woulda paid 68 for this on Day 1 at 8:30 as soon as Big W opened.

    • It's good for PR. Theres no point running the promotion on a game no one really wants. Also considering how slow Nintendo's sales are its a good way to encourage people to buy both the game and/or a console now rather than put it off six or twelve months. Whats also notable is that some of the free redemption games are in their own right fantastic titles…a few of which have a higher shelf price than Mario Kart itself currently.

I may have waited a bit longer to get a Wii U if it wasn't for this promo. As it is, I plan to pick up a Wii U this Saturday.

It's not just Nintendo having problems though. A few weeks ago Microsoft only sold 49,000 consoles worldwide in a week, Wii U in same week got 35,000 and PS4 got 112,000 so Xbox is in trouble too

  • I got my copy @ Big W with something called friends and family 10% off. Total: $52.20.

26.10 for 2 Ninty games (the promo code deal) Not too shabby.

    • Nice find dude. I might end up playing against you in Mario Kart tonight :)

      • Yep. Worked out rather well. I hope Big W starts offering more competitive pricing like this.

I'm downloading WindWaker as I type this.

Got it for $52,20 from JBHIFI.They price matched Big W.

    • My experience with JB is that they won't pricematch if its below cost. Surely $52.20 for an $80 game is below cost. Good work!

      • Harvey Norman is even worst. They do not state the price must not be below their cost price and when you price match them they say we can't do that price because it's below cost.

Dicksmith at least says it in their price match policy.

I had bad experience with some JB stores with price matching and i even said your slogan is false.

        Always cheapest prices my ass.

        • I couldn't get Harvey to take $20 off a microwave because Betta Electrical is 10 minutes away and is actually on the way home, the employee said that I wasn't going to drive 10 minutes to save $20 on a microwave… They were ok with the price just not the distance.

        • I don't often wish AU stores to close down as it obviously costs good folk their jobs but HN are really pond scum.
