this is tempting to go on my newly acquired x-t1

The 12mm is on special at camera pro for $1367.

    Great savings on this deal.

  • Sold out of the Fuji mount, lucky I guess since less spending for me.

Good price! But I will pass this one as I am considering going to full frame.

And be ware that if the item is valued for over A$1000, you may be charged for the GST. It would be fine if the currency remains the same.

Certainly something people should be aware of; just in case they might be tempted to add items to their order that may bring the value over $1000!

But yeah, the lenses on their own are OK at the current exchange rate. (Customs doesn't include shipping costs in the $1000 threshold — once the import value is over $1000, though, duty and GST is charged on both the item value and shipping costs.)

    • can use in Sony A7 full frame?

      • +1

Yes, but will be in cropped mode at 10 megapixels. Otherwise you will get lens barrel vignetting in full frame mode.

      • You can with an adaptor but why do you want to do that? You'll get a cropped frame.

        • no adapter required for an A7. but as ggdg said, a little bit pointless IMO. probably better to get a full frame lens.

Nice find OP. Doesn't suit my kit but I just wanted to say thanks for sharing!

  • Great find, and tempting, but am saving my pennies for full frame glass for the A7…. +1 from me anyhow!

  • So easy to. Blow $1k on photography

    • +1

Correction: So easy to blow $10k on photography!

      • thats is one serious amount of money many never see $10k in their life

      • 10K is a bare minimum. Will get you a good setup, start adding backup and things get crazy…some lens lust thrown in and you could end up anywhere :)

  • Wow…. so tempted. Looks like BH photo allow to back order

  • If they had K-mount (for Pentax cameras) ones I would definitely get them right now.
Zeiss primes for ~$500 each. It is almost a steal.

  • $1319 now :(

  • Back to $919 now .

  • Thanks ~ I always wanted to get a wide-angle lens for Sony NEX. I bought this set and planning to sell the 32mm f/1.8.

B&H has shipped my order. Expected delivery date is 11/06/14

    • Did you get charge for duty and GST?

      • Just received my order today. No charges for Duty or GST.

    • When did you order and which shipping option did you take?

      • Just take into account
Postage exclusive is less than $1000 AUD but more with postage. I choose cheapest
Will pull the trigger if no gst :)

        • No GST and exchange rate is looking better everyday.

      • I think I selected the cheapest shipping option US$55.06.

        • I had also just received mine today. Image quality is impressive on first look. There is quite a bit of dust and scratch mark on outside of the lens boxes, guess it has been sitting in warehouse for a while.

Think I might have got the older stock. My serial no is 510030xx on the 32 and 510144xx on the 12. How about you guys?

  • Tempted as well but I already got the Sony Zeiss 24mm. At least got slightly less than a week to think about it as I think the promo finishes on 15 June.

  • The offer expiry date is up in the air. Orignally they said 31 August, then due to popular demand they brought it to 15 June. Now at B & H, there is no expiry date on the offer.

  • I am going to order tonight but they will not ship due Australia for these items anymore.
Maybe Zeiss Australia has something with this :(

    • Sad to hear that, but have you try adorama? Their shipping is $25 more expensive but gets here in 3 days.

      • good idea.tks

        • I'll put the order in quickly if I was you as I think it's Zeiss USA thats restricting it. I went into B&H and selected other countries and all of them do not allow shipping to, even Canada.

    • I think it is a restriction for Zeiss lens. Because when I try ordering Sony RX100 II or Sony Alpha A7 on B&H website, it does ship to Australia.

  • Got mine yesterday. See them popping up on eBay locally now as well.

    • Can you share the first few digits of the serial numbers? My serial no is 510030xx on the 32 and 510144xx on the 12. Just want to know I got the older stock as there were quite a bit of wear and tear on the boxes.

      • +1

        32 is 51031xxx and 12 is 51043xxx

        • Thanks! Seems my lens are very old. Mine are e-mount btw.

        • Mine are e-mount as well. I placed my order a couple of days before they stop taking international orders. The 32mm is a really noisy lens. 12mm is much quieter.

        • My 32 is noisier as well and have more AF miss . I ordered through adorama on the 9th. Disappointed on the condition of the lens cases and along with the very old serial numbers I suspect these were returned stock. Will stick with B&H from now on.
