$99 Nokia 3120 Classic with $10 (or $100 recharge value) from DSE

DSE is selling this 3g nokia 3120 classic with optus prepaid sim for $99. there are 2 packages, one with $10 starter sim and other with $100(provided you recharge $30). 3 is selling the same phone for $169. It can be easily unlocked from unlocking shops(~$20-30) or using some of the sim attachments available @ dealextreme (~$7). After unlocking it can take any sim(yes telstra nextG sim as well).

Many shops don't have this, better call ur nearest store or purchase online ($9.99 postage).

  • usually unlocking is 50-60 in the first 3-6 months, then $30 thereafter. Thats what i've seen with telstra and vodafone phones, ill assume optus is similar.

    • I believe Optus charges $80 for unlocking.

      • or if you have already spent that much credit on the phone (about $80) then they will do it for free.

  • Get it unlocked from local mobile shops(not in large shopping malls!), every city has some! or see this

  • I just picked up one of these. The one with the $100 recharge is no longer on DSE's website, but if you're lucky your local store will still have some in stock.

    Alternatively, if you're even luckier, your local BigW store may have the same phone for the same price. Slightly better value with BigW because you get a petrol voucher & QFF points.

  • Apparently the standard price is now $99.00 so not really a bargain anymore.
