Everki Flight Laptop Bag / Backpack $44.44 + $5 Shipping @ The Good Guys

120

Was reminiscing and cursing myself the other day for not ordering the Everki flight when Auspost was doing it for $32 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115333)

I did a search online for it the other day and the good guys are selling it even cheaper than previously posted approximately one month ago (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/143601)

Although it's not quite $32, I don't think you can go wrong for < $50 delivered to your door.

Bit the bullet and bought it last night. It's already packed and on the way.

Just be aware that checkpoint friendly bags (although a great idea) are useless in Australia. I've had to take my laptop out of the sleeve every time I've traveled domestic or international when passing through Australian customs in the last few years. Other countries are a bit hit and miss (but mainly ok).

I ordered this bag from last Auspost deal, but they did not deliver it for months. Finally I decided to go ahead and cancel the order and decided to get it from DSE when they offered a price of 65 in last Dec.

6 months into this bag, two things that I don't like:

    1. Bag's exterior is made of two kinds of material and the one on the outside portion (between the two orange lines) gets scratches way too easily. After couple of flight trips, my bag started looking too old thanks to the scratches from other bags in the luggage cabins.
    2. Not much space if you want to put something which is a little bulky (couple of snack boxes for ex. ).
    • Agree completely with this. I got my bag last Auspost deal, was one of the lucky ones who got in early, but after one short trip to NZ the outside of the bag had several scratches on it and all it did was sit in overhead luggage compartment on the plane or on the backseat of the rental car. Not overly durable. I wouldn't recommend this bag.

Got this from auspost deal. Great customer service. one of the pocket is teared off, request for warranty, they send a new bag to me straight away without the need for me to send it back. They advice me to throw the bag to prevent laptop damage, of course I'll not do that.

  • Great bag, a bit small compared to my Targus' but still a very good bag!

  • I got mine from AusPost deal, love this bag, travelled with it a lot.

  • I'm tossing up between this and the Targus CN600 at Bing Lee for $29 + Shipping. http://www.binglee.com.au/targus-cn600-laptop-backpack?utm_s…

    Which would you recommend?
