Monster! Best, most respected, bullshit scam company in the world!

EDIT Note: While I wouldn't concede to analog cables actually being better, the idea that a digital cable is better is ludicrous. Digital either works or it doesn't, as anyone with digital radio or digital TV will attest to. The idea that you get better quality out of a different cable in a digital transmission is sheer nonsense.

    Yeeeeeah…. no.

  • This is still cheap… Retail price is ridiculous but I think this price is very fair. +ve to bring this back from obscurity

  • Sure, it might be cheap for Monster cables - but they're a scam anyway.

Just look at the previous HDMI related posts on this site and you'll find much better deals on cables.

I've paid $25 for 1.5metre gold plated crests after negotiating at Bing Lee, $5 for 2m from MSY, $11 for 5m at msy, and a few $20 from some other pc stores… couldn't get anything useful for under $40 from JB soooo in my opinion $39.80 for these ones (~2.5m) seem good value, so i'm purchasing.

I haven't personal used monster hdmi so this will be a first… i have had compatibility issues with $20 pc store bought ones, the 5m msy cables (but not the 2m msy cable) and no compatibilty issues with the gold plated crest yet. The issues are minor like white pixels 'snowing' and major likes drop outs and no connection at all. So i've managed to mix and match cables with devices so they are living in harmony now… This is why i think quality (and length) are important factors.

Hopefully the monsters will live up to the rrp
