The Rocksmith bundle can be grabbed from Greenman Gaming for 22.95 when using the code IFDSUM-MERSAL-E15OFF at check out. This is a historical low price and not even Rocksmith 2014 has being this cheap by itself.

The benefit of having both games is you can transfer the songs from Rocksmith 1 to Rocksmith 2014 for a fee. You get two steam codes for each game and if you already have the first Rocksmith you can give it to a friend.

An electric guitar and real tone cable is required for the game.

  Real Tone Cable can be bought from both MightyApe and Uplay for $39.99.

  You can import the songs from Rocksmith 1 into Rocksmith 2014 by using the Disk Import Tool ($9.99 - may be cheaper in upcoming Steam sale).

  Custom songs for Rocksmith can be downloaded at CustomsForge.

    I think OP may have worded it wrongly - you get two codes to cover each game, not two codes per game.

      Then it won't work with my acoustic guitar, I would have loved to have used Rocksmith with it.

    There is a "No cable" fix online that would enable this to work, but honestly the Real Tone Cable sounds brilliant, has no lag and is worth every dollar! 3rd party cables might be fiddly to get going.

      me too- I've tried creating different accounts, different cards, using paypal, using paypal credit, making sure my IP addy is au….nothing works.

  I got a brand new copy of Rocksmith 1 from EB for the PS3 with the cable for $18 last week in store. You may find your local has a similar price. Cheaper than buying the cable by itself. Then get the PC version. The cable also apparently works when connecting a guitar to an ipad via the camera usb cable.

    I wondered what software on the iPad could be used.

    I found Rock Prodigy which is currently free (they have in-app purchases for songs).
    Garageband also works with it apparently.

    Is anyone using something on the iPad they would recommend?
