eBay Buyer Threats

So I have this eBay buyer who has been contacting me about an issue with an item. They have messaged me 6 times on eBay and each time I have replied to them however they seem to not be getting my replies OR are ignoring it OR just don't know how to read messages (replies).

What I have done in attempts to contact them:
- Replied within 5 minutes to ALL their eBay messages.
- Emailed them (to their PayPal) email address from THREE different emails.
- Texted them (number provided by eBay)
- Called them

In all attempts to contact them, there has been no reply just more eBay messages from them.

I have tried contacting them over 10 times and yet what I get is day after day more messages from them through eBay message saying how I am not replying to them, and how horrible I am and they are going to leave negative feedback tomorrow and report me to ebay.

I have received about 6 messages from them in the past 3 days about me not replying to them when I reply within 5 minutes.

The buyer has 190+ positive feedback and has been on ebay since 2005…

What should I do?

  • What kind of threats are they making?

    • It's mainly the fact that they are not seeming to check their emails / eBay messages, instead just sending more eBay messages to me about me not replying. The threats just involve negative feedback and dispute with PayPal

If you are replying to them in EBay messages then eBay has a record of your attempts to contact them. If they leave negative feedback just contact eBay and they will remove it.

  • Do you see the email address they're sending from?
If so, send email to them as well as their eBay account..
Kindly pointy out that they should be checking their ebay account for replies as well!

    • I have attempted to several times already through 3 different email addresses all of which had no replies from the buyer, instead the buyer just continues to eBay message me.

Now, they just opened a PayPal dispute as well "New Significantly Not as Described Dispute"

  • I'd contact eBay customer service just to cover your ass. List all the contact dates and times and get a screen shot showing your conversation with customer service.

    • Already contacted yesterday

      • Any response yet?

How much is the value of the item ?

    • I'm curious too.

      What a peculiar case!

    • Under $10 in value.

Looks like there was an issue with eBay, they advised that there was a glitch in the system whereby the buyer's account was not showing any messages which I have sent.

Adding to that, the buyer has been using an email address which they have stopped using ages ago (yet it is still linked to their eBay and PayPal).

The buyer's number too was invalid as they have disconnected their phone number and have not updated eBay with the new one.

How lucky must I have been, not just an eBay glitch but also buyer has un-updated email addresses on both eBay and PayPal as well as a disconnected phone number on their account.
