That David Jones sale at $358 (delivered) a few weeks ago has ruined all these specials!

P.S in before deal gets nuked because its a targeted offer.

    • Join the mailing list for a voucher, takes a few minutes.

That DJs deal was indeed good, not available now though :(

  • Last post on this a few hours ago got deleted as it's a targeted offer according to what it said.

    • Probably why i didn't find it searching…

These deals aren't targeted IMO, anyone can signup to the mailing list and you get a voucher sent to you instantly. So long as you tell people what to do I don't see a problem with it.

I agree. I initially was going to post this but didn't cause it was targeted, however knowing anyone can sign up and get the email straight away means it's available for anyone.

I just bought the gopro for $448 from JB an hour ago!! ARGH!!!!!!!

    • Wow i wouldn't be happy either. All you needed is the voucher with the bar code on it from the email offer to save yourself $24.

      • +1

Could I possibly go in with the voucher, get a refund and then buy it at $424? I had to argue with them for a good 15 mins before they price matched it for $448 as well :(

        • You could try. I mean the voucher is offering for it for $424 and you only bought it an hour ago not knowing about the $424 price. Just make sure you're signed up to the mailing list from the link provided in this thread.

Bit of an irony you arguing with them for 15 minutes to get a $448 price when JB themselves are offering it for $424 today through a voucher. Silly JB staff.

According to the JB voluntary warranty (consumer guarantee) guide you can return the product within 30 days in an unused an unopened package state and get a 100% refund. It's under the JB Hi-Fi Refund Policy section. I'd do that and then buy it for the $424 using the voucher to save $24. If they try and give you trouble about a refund show them a copy of their own JB voluntary warranty guide from this link.

        • haha tell me about it! I had to prove to them that the $448 online was OZ stock even though I had printouts showing it. Hopefully I can point out that they should have told me about the deal themselves? Leaving now!

        • what you do (and I've done it with BigW) is go back or call the store, don't tell them you were not aware of the promo, just say you didn't have the voucher with you when you purchased it, but you didn't want to miss out on stock so you bought it.

I actually walked in and told them that I got the voucher as soon as I got home. The staff on Bourke street are actually really nice and they did the extra $24 refund without a fuss. The store guy actually said he's going to buy one too cos his staff discount isn't even that much lol! Now to get TRS on it when I travel in a couple of days and bring the cost down to $385 :) Thanks for the advice though guys!

    • they have a 2 weeks full refund returns policy for change of mind.. similar thing happen to me last week, hadn't opened it yet so just took it back then re-bought for 30% less

Then it seems that polkatta shouldn't have any problems with the refund

        • As long as he has not opened the box already.

  • I won't use mine, so if they are in fact unique, here's mine for anyone that wants: http://i.imgur.com/Hh3JoMY.png

    • That barcode number is different to mine so guessing they are I fact unique.

      • Yes all the emailed vouchers are unique. That's how they could say it's targeted since it's unique number vouchers targeted through emails but you do need to be signed up to the mailing list.

  • Are you sure that new people that sign up will get the email?
I would expect the mail gets sent to all its current members and if you were to sign up now it would be too late.

On the JB Hifi website they actually advertise the deal and say that you'll get a voucher if you sign up to the email list. Other people have done it with things like the Olympus E-M1 deal and it works fine.

Dont understand why people buy GoPro? How many people do extreme sports?

    • Yes seems a bit over kill.

    • +5

They are pretty great cameras for lots of stuff… I use mine for rockclimbing and MTBing, my brother loves the ease for timelapsing scenery, my neighbour just likes recording his Sunday motorbike rides… I'm not at all "extreme", but I like to share little films with my friends!

      • Actually they're pretty limited due to the fisheye lens.

I made a GoPro video last night making an apple pie. I'm an extreme indoor type.

  • There are a lot of GoPro sales at the moment.. Any news of the GoPro 4 being released soon?

Seems like they're trying to clear stock?

    • alot of gopro sales? lead me in the right direction!!! I heard the new version is out in October.

      • Not a peep from GoProCo, so I'd suggest ignoring the rumours.

    • Harvey are clearing out the Black right now for $485 ("Clearout Sale"), so that surely means the GP4 will be out soon.

      • That $484 that HN is offering doesn't seem like such a great price to me. I mean i've seen it going cheaper at Dick Smith which at the moment they've got it for $448 and the extra 5% off coupon 5MORE brings it down to $425.60. You can see how lame the HN offer is.

        Extra 5% off coupon 5MORE ($425.60 delivered) http://www.dicksmith.com.au/gopro-hero3-black-edition-dsau-x…

        • +1

Yeah it's not the price I was highlighting, it's the fact that they're clearing them out.

        • Yeah a lame clearance price by HN surely they could do better. Maybe try price match HN with the Dick Smith $448 + extra 5% off price $425.60. That will probably be the best offer now. Although the extra 5% off coupon is limited to the first 1000 customers. Worst case scenario is you price match for $448 as a min.
