Apple MD712X/A MacBook Air 11.6" 1.3GHz 4GB 256GB

Hello

I have an opportunity to get these Macbook Airs for a very good price. I wanted to see how many people are interested in the product

Apple MD712X/A MacBook Air 11.6" 1.3GHz 4GB 256GB

My company sourced around 30 of these for a client but for some reason the client didn't take this stock and we are unable to return it to our supplier. Company is ready to take bit of loss on the items. Their cost is around $1100, want to see how many people are interested at this price when Good guys are selling them for $1159

I can push for a lower price but I need to know around how many we can sell through OZB and at what price. I assume $1050 is reasonable. It will take me couple of days to bring the stock from main warehouse to Melbourne warehouse.

  • The stock is from Apple Australia (and not overseas stock)
  • Payment can be made in cash when you come to pick or via paypal if needed to ship.

  • I don't think Ozbargain people would budge at that price, Ozb do quite a homework coming to bargain deals :D

with a quick search i was able to get this http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/apple-180971650--1

reason being they are doing 100$ off on Mac's, not sure if they would do on this though. either way its only $1024

    • Thanks for the search. I am trying to understand what price we can sell them at to clear. $1000?

      • If these ones are suppose to be brand new ones, not refurbished and can provide same warranty as all retails store and invoices to claim tax or TRS etc, ur best bet would be 920-950$ or less.

If myer is doing 100$ off on the above MA and user has Myer one he is potentially saving 120$ right their so it drop to 904$, then u may look any where from 870$ provided all warranty is applied.

For quick sales and w/o warranty and invoice I would buy for $800 or less, I'm not low balling but I would get the most of it when I take a risk.

        Cheers!

        • Looks like myer's price of $1024 is after $100 off. so effective cost would be $1004.

        • yeah I think so, thx

      • i would also like to buy it for $800 if you're willing.

        • Thanks Johny,
It will come with same Australian warranty as retail stores and a tax invoice.

  • +3

Ozbargain is the best place to get the worst price.

To get the best price, throw one on eBay and see what happens. Or watch a few auctions to see what happens to a similar item.

Will you be offering a tax invoice, and will full consumer warranty pass to the buyer?

BTW, seems Apple is selling that model refurbed for $1079. http://store.apple.com/au/product/FD712X/A/refurbished-116-i…

    • Thanks mrmarkau, I will try ebay and see how it goes.
It will come with same Australian warranty as retail stores and a tax invoice.

    • Link doesn't seem to go anywhere?
