    "Katoomba Roti Paratha 1.95kg [30 pieces] - $7.69 ($2 off)"

Is this Roti main or entrée? lol

    • +1

      It's Roti Paratha.

    • +11

      One roti = entree
Two to three roti = main
Another roti with sugar / ice cream = dessert

Roti - the real all rounder.

Western Digital My Cloud 3TB Price Please ???

    • +1

Should be $189.99 as the price on the shelf tonight was $219.99. I have seen the actual starting price drop when the sale starts though making things cheaper, but this is usually with TVs.

      • Is this price any good. Bought 3tb Seagate go flex home nas from Costco for lot lower months ago.

        • Seems to be. Best price on a Staticice search is $219. Thought I found some prices close using Google Shopping but they were for 2TB units. MSY is $249 for this unit and $199 for the 2TB. I think I have just convinced myself to buy one.

        • I'm looking into it as well. Apparently it has a USB 3.0 port where you can plug an additional HD in and use it for backup.

        • Just remember that I got the 3TB Seagate Goflex Home NAS for 160.00 almost a year ago. It must be the subsequent A$ decline which made the imports dearer (including the computing components prices) even after one year.

Also I suspect a Green drive inside the enclosure rather than a Red.

Will be tempted to wait for the 6TB+ devices to become mainstream for the home NAS use.

        • I thought it might only be a Green as well but this test site actually opened theirs up…

          http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/nas/nas-reviews/32244-wd-my-c…

I already have a QNAP with 3 x 1.5Tb drive running in a striped array so I have a little under 3Tb capacity there but it keeps getting close to full between computer back-ups and other storage. I need to move my non-critical data somewhere. I do have a spare slot in the QNAP that I can run as a single disk but given that a WD Red 3Tb is $164 on its own I have to wonder if I am not better of buying this unit to run separately from my existing NAS. Something to ponder over the next few days. So tempting…but I really only need a 2TB drive which is an even cheaper if I just buy a Red and drop it in the QNAP.

        • Thanks for digging up the review. Agree that getting a plug computer (base) for the extra $25 is worth it, in case you are in the market for a 3TB Red drive.

My old NAS had a Seagate green drive (with Archlinux running) showing some smart temperature errors. Also the NAS broke due to a failed update. The data is still intact and I can pull it out, connecting the drive inside a Linux machine.

So getting this now makes sense.

  • Been looking for some Bose OE, but aren't sure I want to go back two models. The ones in the picture have been superseded and then those superseded again.

    • They sounded pretty good when I tried them last night…how much have they changed?

      • Not sure entirely, but the newer ones do look a little more robust especially at the join. Whether they are or not who knows, but definitely going to look for a newer model.

    • I still have a pair like the ones pictured. I heard the older models have better bass. I probably won't be getting a new model again when these ones break.

  • Line up for hours in QLD to get your membership or do it online first and then it will be supposedly quicker.
And as per typical no foresight no upgrades to the roads surrounding the QLD store so prepare to sit dreaming of your discounts :)

  • The line might be wet from me drooling to get choc filled drizzled croissants :)
