  I just picked up Aussie 7d body from Tom saade parramatta for 1015 delivered - 999 pick up. Interstate delivery was 15 h!

  Not the cheapest 7d vs Grey import: after postage, was about 80 bucks more than grey, but 150 cheaper than any local stores I scanned during late June. 2 yr canon warranty is worth the dif imho.

  I know mark ii is due - rumors since 2011 - but the 7d is a really fine camera and I have a reliable source that the new model will be just under 2k body only. Twice the price for an incremental improvement. Scratch that: it WILL be better esp for video performance but still shots will be marginally improved. My 5 cents.

      Thanks - I thought that people chasing down Canon dSLRs would appreciate. For some, apparently not - they either dislike Au warranty or don't like quality cameras.

      Yeah, you buy into systems.

      I actually prefer Canon, and while the 7D has been around, there's actually a reason this model wasn't updated in rapid fire. Age isn't a big factor for purchasing art equipment: if it meets your need, then it really comes down to the glass attached.

      Apple/PC; Android/iOS; Canon/Nikon. Pick a system, get work done.

  Bought the 100D Twin Lens kit for $650 back when the Canon summer cashback was on. Very nice camera; touchscreen is great to use.
