Hello Ozb, I have a really old Samsung plasma from the last decade which is a really great TV but it's beginning to fail on me and I require some kind advice on what deals are available at the moment for similar or better quality at 1080p. I'm really use to the plasma picture on the Samsung which does 720p really well and since the TV room is dark and plasma is what I'm use to, I think it's what I should go for, however they seem to be so scarce now… I can't find the highly-rated Panasonic plasma's anywhere now. Advice much appreciated. Cheers!

Thank you for the response. In a way I tried to ask for what's good and what's available out there now that the reviewed and proved models like ST60 are scratched. LG seem to still have plasma's but I'm not an LG fan. Anything but LG personally :) Cheers.
.. and I would take an LG LCD over anything else. Is'nt freedom of choice great.. :-)
Retailers run out superseded sets around mar/apr each year, so what you see in the stores atm is usually what the offerings will be for the rest of the year.

There was a large discussion in there by Panasonic plasma fans which is still going by the looks of it.

I personally prefer LCD over Plasma but that debate has been chewed to death so it is best to go for what you prefer.
