The Carbon tax is gone, what is the best electricity provider ?

Hi guys,

As per title, i received i phone call today from a broker.
He said i can get 18.68c for the first 1000KW, after that it is 19.03c ( Peak step 1 )
For the off peak it is 12.3c. Service charge is 92c/day

Contract length is 36months.

Do you think it is a good deal or i should wait for couple weeks? When most of the electric company reviews their prices.

I'm in Vic.

EDIT: Is there a site that i can find out more about different offers.
I'm paying 25.3c - Peak, 14.8c - Off peak, plus 90c -service charge at the moment.

    Before you do anything go on this site. It is from the Victorian government so there is No brokers or bias involved. http://www.yourchoice.vic.gov.au/

    Wow what company was that? im currently getting charged 27.59c with origin.

      I can't remember the name … but i be able to find a cheaper rate from the link above. Which is ~19.11c + 87c service charge.

    Need to check the finer details of the plan he's offering you - connection fee, termination charges, how long are the rates fixed for etc.?
