    Got my $100 in SA

  • Feeling guilty to close the account immediately after taking out the $100.

    • +3

I will take your guilt away. You can send the $100 to me.

No need to thank me now.

Received a txt from ANZ just then. "$100 has been credited to your new ANZ everyday account as part of the offer you qualified for"

I just got paid my $100. I am in QLD.

Closing account tomorrow as soon as my transfer out (to ING Direct) clears.

It has been a pleasure taking your money ANZ. Please come again :)

  • Got mine as well. Will close the account at the end of the month. Already deposited 2k for the month.

    • +1

Ch-ching! and account closed. Thanks ANZ. I got back some of the fees you were charging me for monthly account keeping!

  • +3

Yay! Got my 100 today. Just gone back and realized in the last year or so I had $100 signup bonuses from ING, 100 from ANZ, 100 from CBA, 100 from MeBank, 50 from Suncorp and a 50 gift card from HSBC. LOL.

I joined for the $100 but have found their App extremely good, however it would be no fun to switch all of my established banking! Is anyone now considering staying with ANZ?

    • +4

Nah ANZ charges monthly fees if you don't deposit 2000 a month. That alone rules it out as a matter of principle.

  • +4

    Woo Hoo!
I received my $100 overnight and have just closed the account without having to perform the final $2,000 deposit this month. I was charged a pro rata account servicing fee, no big deal.
The funny thing is the guy who closed the account after he closed it and took me to the teller said "lets go collect your winnings" LOL

    • +2

lol .. His last job must of been at star city :)

    • I was charged a pro rata account servicing fee

I can't see how they can charge a fee, if you empty the account to zero,
then ring up to close it.

$100 in my hands! .. Closed account now over the phone, i waited at least a day lol
My reason was valid .. ANZ transactions take way to long to show up in the account. Credit cards are the same

    • +1

they didn't even ask me for a reason.

If they did, I would have ZERO hesitation telling them the truth: "I just wanted your money and now I got it and don't need you anymore" simple :)

      • +7

Or more accurate "I just wanted your money and now I got it and if I keep my account open I have less chance of qualifying for more of your new customer free money promotions in future"

          Spoken like a true professional!

    • nice :) so much for NSW only! you took a chance and won

  • Got mine too (on 17 Sept)
    Excellent !
    Forgot all about it.

  • deposited 23/09
    received 01/10

    time to close!

  • Acct opened for 2mths now with $2k deposit(then withdrawal) per mth & still no bonus yet. Hope i get it by the 15/10

    • Same here.

    • same here

    • 15/10 is here. Got it yet?

      • Nope. Rang ANZ, they reckon it will be end of the mth :/

        • I wonder why the others got it so early?

  • Deposited before end of Sept. It has been a month now (end of october). Still haven't received any money. Contacted via securemail. Do I have to call in?

  • ANZ told me it'd be October like in their T&Cs but it didn't arrive. Contacted them multiple times said November, then turns out they decided I'm not eligible as I've had an account before.

    Even though I and prob most of us received an email clearly stating;

"2. Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria, $100 will be deposited into the new ANZ Access Advantage account by 15 October 2014."

I'd still not received by today, 27th October, 12 days later.

Just rang an was told there's a delay, payments will not be made until 13th November.

I explained that's not what the received email advises, that I've not received any communication to advise otherwise.

"I'm sorry sir, I will pass on your complaint, is there anything else I can help you with today"

What's the point in marketing themselves with a $100 carrot in anticipation of retaining new customers if they cant even get this right…

    • That's what they told me - then later told me I was not eligible.

    • Follow-up;

Received a "Please Share your Experience" email, however rather than being done internally by their own IT staff

"We have engaged an independent research agency to collect this feedback on our behalf."

Logged in last night to discover the $100 went in on the 29th, transferred the lot

Sent them a message including the above, Thanks for the $100, please close all 3 accounts

  • Finally got my $100 and cancelled the account!! Thanks OP.

ANZ is just too efficient to retain me as their customer:)

Had to email them and took a while to get it sorted.

So anyone who hasn't got their money, email ANZ IMMEDIATELY. Don't waste time waiting!!

  • I am an existing customer and sent them an email for followup, unfortunately didn't get the credit since l am not new customer. Well, its hit and miss l guess!!
