    It's the 1st Gen (non retina). Looks like most of them are discounted including the retina ones.

    Recently got one for my daughter. I don't like Apple much at all but I must say the 768 x 1024 is much better than I was expecting. Certainly ample for a kid. Looks better than the Android running the same res I must say.

    I'm surprised anyone would get a 64GB version for their kids though, teach them to delete apps from time to time and get the 16GB like I did ;)

        IF I ever wanted to buy an iPad, it wouldn't be the one I'd pick, but for a pre-teen it's ideal.

  Does it evem come with Australian warranty so i can walk into an apple store and get it repaired or whatnot?

    Yes it comes with a 12 month warranty,if something goes wrong just contact Kogan and they will come and pick it up and then return it when its repaired.

  i've got both the retina and non-retina ipad mini's. can't say i'm too bothered by the display or the performance of the 1st gen. and if i didn't already have 2 of these freaking wallet burners(!) i'd get this one :\
