1:18 Carlectables Holden and Ford V8 Supercars Models $119.99 + p/h CoTD

50

Good Day Everybody

Just my intro apology. Yes its a Catch Of the Day sale event. I know we have had issues with security with them but I still think its a good sale.

They have a few V8 Supercars 1:18 Holden and Ford models by Classic Carlectables. These models are still the ones with opening body parts e.g. Bonnets etc. Meaning they have more detail than the newer ones being released this year. They are a solid body meaning no extra detail inside bonnets etc and even inside the car as details are not visible.

They have:

2011 Skaife and Lowndes Holden 888 car
2011 Jamie Whincup Holden 88 Car
2012 Garth Tander VE S2 Holden Car
2012 Shane Van Gisbergen FG Ford Car
2012 Tim Slade FG Ford Car
2013 Casey Stoner Holden car Note Casey Stoner test car only I think
1984 Holden VK Commodore Bathurst Not Sure of driver
1985 Holden VK Commodore Bathurst Not Sure of driver

All Cars by Classic Carlectables. All cars come with Certificate of Authenticity.
All car $119.99 plus p/h. I bought 3 and shipping was reduced to $8 for 3 cars combined.

All cars seem to be good. I do already own a 2011 Lowndes and Skaife Bathurst Edition. This model did have some minor issues with stickers (Livery) etc
cheers

    why is this a bargain?

  • Cheap and some people like collecting them?

Seen any cheaper? Just saying… seems like a good deal (didn't buy one)

  • You can compare GamesWorld or the mob that CoTD have used to compare the RRP prices.
I would even just compare to eBay. Most of these units sell around 150 on eBay.

Also obviously a lot of people selling on eBay will be selling used as new. If its been on display in glass cabinet, its not new.

I know that a lot of people wouldn't buy these unless they are collectors. It is a good deal for someone who wants to start collecting diecast models. Especially more detailed units. Both the major model designers for Australia have now shifted to the a solid resin model with no opening parts etc.

Maybe this deal belongs on a forum. Mods feel free

Is having your credit card details stolen really worth the $30 savings?

Let me know in 3 years when you find out

Seriously, why the hell would people want the #7 GrpA Mobil VK or that Kmart GrpC car? Had it been the 05 cars I probably would've grabbed one as an impulse buy!
The Marlboro VK GrpC was the hottest car ever built!
