    Try Whirlpool. :)

  • Nokia 6220 Classic

    • I don't think you'll find a Nokia with external memory card and 3.5mm jack for under $300.. or $500 for that matter!

I'm not sure that a 6220 fits the price point for outright but if it does, +1 from me!!
Amazing quality camera (photos still impress me 15 months after getting the phone, probably the best quality camera in a phone still),
GPS (very handy when I've gotten lost a few times!),
      SDHC memory card support (internal),
stereo out from 2.5mm jack (buy a 2.5-3.5mm adapter)
      excellent reception,
good network support (supports Optus YesG regional 3G and the new Vodafone regional 3G network),
      OK menu speed,
      reasonably slim,
      OK battery life..
it ticks every box for any person..

Definitely needs a nice case though.. cause it doesn't feel unbreakable!
Get a leather slip case.. I made the mistake of initially getting a plastic crystal case and a bit of grit got between it and the screen and scratched a spot in the screen.

I have the nokia 6300, you can buy it outright from most coles/kmart etc etc for $180. Mine is vodafone prepaid, but you can also get it for optus prepaid, and a million other places sell it unlocked.

    Requirements:
Not slide or flip - check
    Nokia - check
    Plays MP3’s - check
    3.5 headphone jack - i think it's 2.5, but you can get a 2.5-3.5 converter for $2 off dealsextreme
External memory card slot - yup (becareful, alot of the phones have a limit)
    Bluetooth - yes
    $100-$300 - $180

    • ive just been informed u can buy these for $160 if u pay for $50 credit (optus)

  • thankyou

the 6300 and 6220 are two good suggestions

im checking out the reviews and am leaning towards the 6220

    • I bought the 6220 today for $219. thankyou all

    • Yeah 6220 Classic is a lot better than 6300 (5MP camera, GPS and 3G). 6300 is selling for ~$160 prepaid these days so there is some price difference.

  • bought it from vodaphone as a prepaid phone.

  • Though of getting Nokia 6200 $20 @ Virgin but out of stock. Now I'm thinking of Nokia 6700 $34 @Virgin or $29 @3….hmmm decisions time.
Now also searching for Samsung Omnia around this price…any help?

  • If you are thinking about the Omnia you might like the LG Renoir I have pasted below, I reckon it's about the best deal around! I have been trying to decide between the Renior and Omnia. Also I have added the best deals I have found on the Omnia.

  • Also another good touchphone is the 5800 XpressMusic. While the camera is not as good as the Lg Renoir or Omnia, it runs the S60 symbian platform so there's plenty of applications available for it. Not to mention GPS, Wifi and dual LED flash.

Available from Virgin for $34 per month.
