Bike Recommendation inexpensive

Hey,

I'm not looking for a fancy bike upward of $150.. Is this a good deal?
Just to get me from A to B and for fitness, thanks.

For that price range you are much better going 2nd hand imo, those two things you linked to are both bike shaped objects but tha'ts about it. Hit up gumtree for a 2nd hand hybrid of any half decent brand think: Giant, Mongoose, malvin star etc. It'll do everything your after and be a much better bike

  • That k mart one looks ok for the money and the purpose you intend.

The only thing to watch out for is the weight of the bike… some cheap (and expensive) bikes can be as heavy as a Russian tractor!! :-( and become a right pita.

Gear selectors called rapid shift? are much better than the grip twist ones but are rarely seen on supermarket bikes.

I have had supermarket bikes and they have been fine… sure some are junk but most are perfect for what you describe.

Most cheaper bikes are really heavy. We got all our bikes from gumtree and ebay for <$100 each. A quick service and they are all going great.
