  • I hope they allow pickup because postage at 44 bucks is expensive.
I've had a 55 inch TV delivered for 30 bucks a few weeks ago.

  • $44 shipping…

If you own Weber you know they rarely give discount more than $10..

  • +3

    Shipping is a joke.

This is Weber Q100 which is under clearance. The newer model is Q1000 although there is not much difference.

    • +1

      Which is?

      • I got the Q100 and I too want to know what the differences between it and the Q1000 are.

        • 900

      • +1

From US website: Biggest difference is the cast iron grill piece is in two halves such that you can switch out one side for a griddle. For the Q1000 the added spacers on the handle so you won't accidentally burn your knuckles on the lid.

$75 shipping for me. No deal.

    • +3

There's a vendor selling for $350 with Free Shipping.
Works out to $175 which is cheaper than Good Guys + Shipping to Adelaide ($44 shipping on top of the $144 BBQ).

IMHO you'd be VERY game to go and deal with that vendor who has this as one of their other deals:
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BBQ-425-DOLLAR-BONUS-CASH-BACK-OF…

        $425 cashback for $500 - effectively $250!?!?

I smell a Nigerian scammer or similar. There'll be a few Paypal disputes coming up for folks who bought from this chap or I will be VERY surprised.

        • +1

I just bought one from the seller. I have a feeling he's simply selling them on ebay for $350 with free postage, then going onto Masters and buying them for $239+postage to the customer and profiting the difference.

Sounds like an OzBargainer to me!

$175 for Weber Baby Q delivered I'm happy with that. At the end of the day paid with paypal so should be protected if something is fishy.

There's also a Q2000 with side flaps there for $460 with free delivery. Take 50% that's $230 which is a good buy. I just bought the Baby Q as I won't be cooking for many.

        • @okay: i was stupid to miss the ones sold by bcf. actually baby q was already in my cart. the only i option i had is to buy from this guy. so i did.

        • @alwayseric: How much was BCF selling for including postage? Can't imagine there's much price difference and I reckon this guy will be alright. Good to spread the wealth to a dude hustling rather than BCF.

I'm so intrigued to do the maths on that guys "cashback" deal. Here goes.

          Sells you a "BBQ" = +$500.00
          eBay fees 9.9% = -$49.50.
          PayPal fees 2.4% + $0.30 = -$12.30
          Cashback = -$425.00
Cost of BBQ he's legally obligated to provide = $?

$500-$425-$49.50-$12.30 = $13.20 profit. Either he's an idiot or a scammer. There are no other options.

What's sad is that three people fell for it.

ETA: And 128 people bought his Q2000 BBQ, he's going to turn over close to $100K using an account where his feedback even mentions the word 'scam'.

        • @okay: Thing is, there's no Q1000/Q2000 on Masters' website. Only Q100/Q200.

        • @okay: the price of bcf is(was) not much different from tgg's, but the shipping was only $7 to sydney.

    • Same here :(

You can get decent discounts for the 100/200/300 range since they are kept at large retailers like masters and good guys. Discount on the special versions 110/220/330 with the higher lid and built in thermometer are harder to come by since they are stocked only by 'weber specialists'. Having said that,50% off is a great deal though I would look around the listing as some of them have free shipping but higher product cost (saw one at $350) but may work out cheaper since the code discounts the price but nit shipping

  • It helps to get the one with the temperature gauge on the lid.
Obvious help with flame/temp control, plus it will have a higher lid for said chickens.

  • +1

For anyone looking at this deal I can safely say the one I've had for the last five+ years has been GREAT.
There were even a couple of times where I overloaded it so much that the lid was left open a little, so if
necessary, you can quite easily cook for ~ eight people or so. I mainly only use it for 2-4 of us so there
is a lot of room for the smoke to move around the food while it cooks. Almost always starts on the 1st click.
Has some good options too if I recall correctly.

  • +1

Hopefully this isn't the end of eBay including shipping in the Sunday discounts.

  • Sold out

  • Is there any 3xx (I'm not sure about exact model numbers) with the temperature gauge and higher lid listed? I can't find any.

  • +1

Seems like there's a lot of Weber bbqs popping up on eBay now? People making a quick profit?

    Back in stock…quick!!

Time to realise my boyhood dream, and start selling propane and propane accessories.

    "Hi,
Thanks for your email. Unfortunately we are unable to offer local pick up with items that are purchased on our eBay store. We apologise for any inconvenience and please feel free to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.
    Regards"

    Still a good deal

  • Would have been an instant buy for me if it was the q 220 version with the temp gauge.

    • Pretty sure it has been mentioned that those models are only available from Weber specialist stores/

    • Hey Mike it wasnt me that negged you, I was attempting to help.
      Thanks for the neg though…

      • Hey dude, I know. I didn't neg either, I gave you a + now to balance the universe :)

    Says 289 again. Deal over

    • +1

you need to apply the code

  • So these webers, what's the smallest most portable has cylinder gas can use? Can you use disposable ones?

  • +1

Not sure if I'm upset for missing the deal or happy to save $190

    • +1

      ah.. the all-too-familiar post-ozbargain dilemma!

  • +2

They sent me the newer model which comes with a higher dome and a split grill. Very happy about this!

    • wow really? nice!

    • Must be the newer model then! :D

      • Definitely is.
A clue is the big Q on top of the dome and the split grill is handy if you want to replace a half with a flat section for bacon/eggs etc.

I bought 2, so twice as lucky I guess lol

        • My one came today, it also has a split grill, I'm not sure about the dome because I don't have anything to compare to.

Does the old q1000 model not come with a split grill? What's this model? Also where do you buy a half flat grill?

It doesn't have temperature so it's not the q1200, looks just like a normal q1000 to me judging by youtube.

        • @cyrax83: The old one was a Q100 and had a 1 piece grill. Weber sells everything. They have a half flat grill. The triangular Weber cleaning brush is also essential buying IMO.

  • Shipping went up to $80 during the deal and now $44
    TGG not fair play.
