  • damn thought it was gold class movie tickets for 12.50, almost had a heart attack!

    • ha ha now that would be a bargain - I've updated the add so no one else falls for that.

Gold class tickets off-peak for $25 is decent. These days full priced adult ticket is like $18 then if it's vmax and/or 3D you are on a few more dollars. Not to mention adding on drinks, popcorn and lollies or ice cream which then makes it $125 at checkout.

Agreed. FWIW, my last Vmax ticket was $27.50 (adult)…I think they shave off a couple of bucks for child or student, but IIRC that was still $24.50.

The 'normal' $33.00 tickets are even better value IMHO, I'm sure the last time I wanted to go to GC in the evening, the tickets were like $44.00 or something???

Gold class is great, really worth ponying up a few extra bucks for a good movie…nothing from Michael Bay, but anything Marvel related, hell yeah! :)

  • I miss the good old days of popcorn, ice cream and movie ticket for $5..

    When is offpeak?

    • I think it's Mon-Fri before 5 or 6pm.

In the OPs description it says Mon, Tue and Wed for offpeak.

Isn't $25 the normal offpeak price?

  • what cinemas charge these amounts. a post above says a normal ticket is $18???
Events cinema near us is $9.50 (just went Friday night) and day time is $7.50. Gold class is $20 during the day and $23 at night.

    • Any smaller city or town is charged crazy amounts as there is no competition. We pay $18+ standard ticket, crappy chairs, bad smells etc.

Normal off peak is $30 so it's $5 off.

    • It must vary from location to location then. Offpeak at Chermside is $25.

  • Just looked up prices for Mt Gravatt and it is 25 off peak and 33 on peak, so it's the same price.
