its an ok deal. tbh the deals that include a free game are probably better. you're not going to get batman on ps3 for <$50. and if you didn't want it, you could always sell it on egay.

( total points worths about AUD 60 , Hope Myer will send me a bonus voucher soon ) .Also , at EB game, there is trade in deal with PS2 slim , if u go with PS3 deal , PS2 slim +2 games worth $74.95 .Currently they offer bundle PS3 + 1 game ($ 496) . SO if u trade in PS2 slim with 2 games, you only pay $420 with bonus game.

I'd say XBox too normally owning the Wii and XBox (bought a PS3 last week)
That said, for younger kids the Wii may be the way to go as I'm sure they will get a kick out of the motion controller and the XBox's biggest games are more for the teens to adults category. That and the fact you werent considering the XBox anyway.
for little kids i go the wii, for teenagers i go the ps3
