  • I get the error "An error occurred in the process of payment" whenever I try to pay (unrelated to the coupon code). Obviously my purchase was not meant to be ;)

  • pricey

    • Not for what you get. Uniqlo stuff is high quality.

    • Yes, Uniqlo is very cheap in Japan.

Uniqlo Australia has the "Australian tax" whacked on top..

    • This is certainly true, but so far it seems that if you wait long enough, most products will eventually be reduced until sellout. That is what happens in Japan, etc.

Free shipping can be a bargain?

    • +8

We've established this before if DSE free ship friday can be so can this

  • +3

As much as I wanted to buy on their website, I couldn't settle on anything I wanted for a decent price :/

    • That defeats the entire point of the store. Uniqlo Japan is cheap gear that looks half decent and doesn't fall apart. I certainly won't be going out of my way to buy it if it is expensive in Australia.

ETA: Actually what am I saying? As a 6'3" guy none of their stuff fitted me in Japan and it doesn't seem like they have changed sizings at all in Aus. At least in Japan they had XXL stuff on their online store.

    • I got a couple of those cashmere V-Necks for $29.90 for next winter. Other cheapy crap V-Necks go for $40/$45 at least!

  • It's a brand for everyday life, turns to be an expensive brand.

  • I only buy their plain t-shirts.

    • The dry pack ones? I bought one yesterday, it feels good quality and fits nicely, good value at $7.90 IMO

      • +1

Yep those ones. Much better quality than ascolour and the fit is really good as too.

        • Just bought a few plain Ts based on your comments. Hope they're good!

    • Yep. thats the only stuff worth getting. Their plain Supima cotton shirts are fantastic. That cotton material is probably the best I've worn in a t-shirt.

I bought a pair of pants in Japan and they were $32, in Australia they are $50.

Some of the opening specials they've had match Japan prices but I doubt that to last very long.

    • Are the quality of the pants any good?

      • Yes, very and would have been happy to pay $50 if I'd never been to Japan.

    • Edwin jeans. Every time I go to Japan I get some. As a guy I have a big bum and, surprisingly, Edwin jeans fit me like a glove.

      • +2

I can tell from your name you must really love pants

        • I am very pants-focussed.

Seriously though, Edwin jeans. Highly recommended.

        • @Mr Wowtrousers:

They're fantastic. Don't break the bank like Momotaro/Pure blue Japan and aren't as tacky as most Evisu. Highly recommend Edwin Jeans as well.

I went to indonesia and i basically bought 15kg worth of uniqlo's outfit. They're superb quality and like their design. I have a feeling its going to be double the price what i bought from indonesia. If anyone doesn't what uniqlo is.. its like ZARA but towards casual clothing.

  • thanks..

I ordered the V-neck cardigan on sale for $29.90. Put in the code, and ended up being charged $21.90. So that $8 shipping was taken off my price for some reason…can't complain then haha

    • Same here, bought 2 tees for $15.80 but shipping was already free and the code took off an extra $8. Not complaining either :)

      • Same! haha awesomeness!

        • They fixed it now I think

    • Might be some error, that entire line is $4.90 at the Macquarie centre store.

"Severe weather across Sydney may cause some delays in the delivery of your order. Please be patient while we do our best to deliver your order on time."

    LOL.

  • I want to send as a gift to South Africa.
Is free shipping only to Australia?

  • Wouldn't it have been better to provide the link to their website instead of their Facebook page?

  • Thanks for the code - I've been very happy with the things I've bought from Uniqlo although the knits didn't hold up quite as well as I'd hoped I'm still happy with them for the price I paid.

  • About a week ago they had a huge selection of printed t-shirts on sale + delivery. A week later they remove the said shirts and put them back at their normal price then advertise free delivery.

    • they also had casual shorts for $9.90 ($5 off) and a few other specials.

Some of their stuff is too over priced, the chino shorts for example at $40. not worth it. They are only $19.90 on the US site at the moment.

      • Maybe the size of the US market is a factor with pricing? When I was in the US in 2011, Cotton On had both the US$ and AU$ prices printed on the same price tags; US$ prices were less than half of AU$ prices, this is when the AU$ was stronger than the US$ at the time.

        • -2

Americans are happy to earn less than $8 per hour as the minimum wage.

      • Those $9.90 shorts are amazing, super comfy and versatile and the pockets are even deep enough to comfortably fit a 6+. Bought 4 pairs at the Macquarie centre opening, still a buy at $14.90 imo.

  • Thanks a lot for the great post!

  • $30 for uniqlo hoodies? WIN!

These are great quality/fit and, while a bit pricey at normal Aus prices, $30 is more like Japan bargain prices!

    • I've got it for $21.90 yesterday ($29.90-$8+Free delivery). The $8 shipping was taken off the price. can't complain ;)

  • Still working!
