    • I hadn't heard of here before, will give it a go, thanks. Can it display your current speed?

        HERE belongs to Nokia.
        http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here_(Nokia)

Used its predecessor on old Nokia phone. Top notch.

Been hanging out for the Android version. Thanks, superforever!

        Advantages over Google Maps:

        • Offline maps for many countries around the world
        • Offline turn-by-turn navigation
        • Speed limits with warning

        Good stuff. Check it out.

    • Offline maps?

      • Apparently yes, if you can get the login working (which I couldn't, with either Facebook or specific UN/Pass for the site).

        • I can no problem here, created a new login via the apps.

        • @superforever:
Cheers. I'll try again, or try with a different e-mail address, or something.

I'm waiting for them to make an app called "There" as that's where i want to go to.

Never heard of HERE? How about Nokia?

Use to only available to Windows phone.

Yes offline map without data access, point to point, speed check. Speed camera not sure yet.

I use google maps works perfectly

Reviews seen to think Google Maps is better (and obviously free.)

  • +2

Remember Google maps needs data access… Apps like this are useful for when that isn't possible for available

Tomtom make an excellent GPS but there's no way in hell I'd pay this much for a GPS app. Especially when there are heaps of free alternatives!

  • +7

If it was free, I would use it. If I have to pay for an application, they shouldn't be allowed to sell the information to the police so they can put speed cameras in the most profitable spots.

      well said
Buying off a 2 faced company and then having it linked to your phones data what else do they know about you without your knowledge.

  • Waze is another free alternative that I would recommend. However, it does need data access to work. I remember that Google actually acquired this company a while back.

    https://www.waze.com/

    • That explains something I noticed the other day. Using google maps showed an accident/incident that was contributed by Waze

  • No speed/red lights camera

  • Still $60 for iOS, so not on sale for iOS.

  • Tomtom smart phone aapplication is worst. The display map very simple as in 2D.Also,it is onsales very very frequently..

Personally, i rather pay more to buy either Navigon or Sygic.

you can try whereis in Android or iOS, its awesome for navigation.

    • Surely there is a better use for a gps map than this VVV (taken from the comments in play store ;)

Love it wen I catch my man who's Ben caught at the pokies thn can't lie 2 me like he usually duz

  • Waze is the death of paid GPS apps.
