  • not really their fault people named sexual discrimination in gaming after watergate…

  • if only could get it this cheap on consoles ;)

    • Consoles will never have cheap games, that's the trade-off to buying an expensive PC :)

As ever, get the Ultimate Edition for FNV if you don't have it yet. DLCs are worth it. Fallout 3 is worse in every way to FNV (to the point where I don't think it's worth playing any more).

Just started playing through 3 again last week with a few visual and soundscape mods. Still an awesome game, i think it was a more unique offering than NV.

Yeah you could argue that the world design is better (and world design is Bethesda's strength), though it is hampered by how much time is spent in those goddamn tunnels. But it is more interesting to look at, by and large, than F:NV's deserts.

By every other measure though - quest design, writing, characters, gameplay, meainingful choices (and consequences) - F:NV is the better game.

There's a construction company named ISIS doing work on a building a few blocks from my office

    • I know them; they sent out a bunch of letters recently with the heading "ISIS turns 25!" on them. I saw one and thought, you guys must be the butt of so many jokes right now.

Man I am forever buying into these bargain weekends for games I will never play. Smashed the company of heroes one last weekend, now fallout. Damn oh well, here I come.

  • Why is the name unfortunate?

    • I think the term "gamergate" is used within the gaming world and internet (now as a meme) that represents the gaming industries female discrimnation within gaming in general, whether that be RL or VR.

This term "gamergate" sounds an awful lot like "gamersgate"; the name of the website.
Someone please elaborate if i am wrong.

      • wow, I never knew. How the hell do ppl discriminate vs females in the gaming world, that's the weirdest talk I've ever heard of. I might have to do some research, sounds like an interesting subject.

        • It's pretty serious, the women leading the charge have had death threats against them and have had to leave their homes as a precaution. Nerds playing too many mafia games I guess.

        • @robbiejuve: It would actually be funny if it wasn't so serious, can't believe some of the stuff I've read on the subject. I must be getting old sigh
