Logitech UE4000 Headphones $14.50 @ Officeworks (In-store Only)

1370

First post so I hope I haven't screwed up.

Saw a pile of these at Officeworks Dee Why in Sydney. They were marked at clearance from $79 to $59 and then $29. But I noticed there was a normal price tag underneath with it marked as $14.50, which it scanned at. Had to jump on it at that price. Saw a purple one and several White ones, picked up a white one myself. Should be at other Officeworks as well if they have stock.

"Their open design enables them to stay cool, even after hours of wear. And they allow you to hear some natural sound from your surroundings, which is useful when you wear them in public."

Means you can be that w##ker that annoys everyone around you with your terrible music.

      Sorry, mate :P

      • +7

For the kids reading this w##ker = worker ;-)

        • +1

Why did he have to write w**ker instead of worker ?

IS WORKER A DEFAMATORY WORD ?

  • Can't add to cart though. Online says no stock near any officeworks near me :(

      Same same. I get

The value [Ljava.lang.String;@1c341c34 specified for parameter addOrderItem is invalid.

  • Cheap I like the UE series .
    thanks OP

  • Rightly marked down, many reviews report sound as mediocre. Gift item.

    • I agree, however at this price point, I think it's a great deal - they are really comfortable headphones, you could find much worse!

      Gift item.

      For enemies only.

    • +9

Yeah, give them to the same people that you give their kids a drum set

Called officeworks, they checked the system and he said that only South Melbourne has 3 available. Nobody else in australia has any! I'm in perth so the Melbourne option isn't very good haha.

    • +4

I'm convinced staff buy this type of stuff themselves when they see the price.

      • +3

Wouldn't surprise me. Look at dick smith staff when they had their sales.

Anywhere you go; staff always get first pick.

        • +2

Especially when the picks are on special at hardware stores.

      • +15

And why shouldn't they? Should they only purchase products when they are not on sale?

I just marked down a bunch of heaters at Bunnings, $70/80 to $40 last week and today marked them to $15. If some are purchased by staff or customers, who cares? The business isn't usually making any money and wants to get rid of them for a more profitable item.

        • +4

I didn't say whether they should or not, just that they probably do.

        • Is there any left? Can you mark them down some more & put one on hold for me?

      • Wouldn't surprise me if they grab themselves a few before the store opens, pay for them of course and tuck them in their bag… Not saying they can't or shouldn't but it is likely they do. Again nothing wrong with that. I'd probably do it as well.

  • thanks..

These speakers are decent. staff gets tickets each morning, so when the price changes and they can be cheap, not all staff hold onto stock, not all of us are greedy, there's a limit. items can drop to lowest at 1c over time.

Retail staff do deserve to get some of the goodies, they are often the ones who get paid poorly, have to work weekends and public holidays and put up with our shit…

Before I worked in retail I thought hah, retail workers have it so easy, all they need to do is try to sell stuff and work the cash machine.

2 months into it I think I have met just about every weirdo, manchild and psychopaths in Australia.

Well said, dont forget long hours, more work when there is a cut in budget to saves $ so that the manager can get bonuses at the end of the year.

I have various headphones, and as a light portable set these are decent for under $50.

They are Supra-aural, which means that they have pads that press against the ears, rather than around them.

They are closed back, but because their Supra-aural you do get some sound leak @ higher volumes, nothing unusual.

Like most products, there will always be negative reviews, because people have different tastes an varying expectations.
But keep in mind that these were over $100 when released, and sat around $99 for most of their time before being discontinued. Most reviews would be based on those prices.

For under $50 these are a good choice for their purpose, under $30 they are a real Bargain, at this price a steal.

Doesn't matter how cheap they are, these are really poor quality sound, with nice build quality, removable cable and bag. Get some Koss Porta Pro if you're looking for something in this class.

Ultimate Ears? Who calls headphones that? I'd much prefer Logitech Go Go Gadget Ears.

  • Apparently no stock in any stores (according to the person I last spoke to).

  • yeah i rang wetherill park and they said they already have heaps of people asking and trying to backorder, and they aint taking more

  • None anywhere at all…

I just bought six from Officeworks South Melbourne. One still remaining there.

    • Hahah, surprised that so many were still there today. If I was close by, I would have also grabbed a few, maybe not six though. You have some nice Chrissy presents there ( don't want to call you Br…n :-).
At least you left one for someone else.

Were they all black with white ones ( that's what I have, and like ), or black or purple. For the price, can't complain for gifts or even nothing wrong with black or purple.

So it was you….I dropped in around 1:30 and they told me all 7 were on hold

There were at least 20 pairs at Officeworks West Gosford.
