Those who have a UK bank account might like to try their luck on the cashback offer as well:

Might be pushing your luck on the cashback, but free to give it a shot…. it is not actually the VAT they are giving back, which you have not paid anyway, but an equivalent amount based on purchase price.

  • So what networks is the 3g compatible with in Australia?

    • I don't know, the specs from UK site are:

      3G Network: WCDMA 900/2100MHz (3G model only)
      2G Network: GSM/EDGE 900/1800/1900MHz
      Speed: HSPA+ 42Mbps(DL) / 5.76Mbps(UL)
      Data: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA

      • +2

WCDMA 2100 is used by Telstra/Optus in Metro areas
WCDMA 900 is used by Optus in regional areas

    • +3

      900/2100MHz

Telstra NextG – UMTS 850MHz – Metropolitan and regional
      Telstra 3G – UMTS 2100MHz – Metropolitan only

Optus YesG – UMTS 900/2100MHz – Metropolitan and regional
      Optus 3G – UMTS 2100MHz – Metropolitan only

Vodaphone 3G – UMTS 2100MHz – Metropolitan and some regional
Vodaphone 3G – UMTS 900MHz – Some smaller regional areas

      • Ok thanks… so will work with Optus and Vodafone and not Telstra Next G.

  • +1

    1GB Ram…….hmmmmm

    • Spec says:
      RAM: LP DDR2 2GB

      • +3

Then you should probably fix up the spec you've listed in the post as they say 1GB, rather than negging me.

        • Lenovo say 2GB, Amazon title says 2gb, Amazon spec says 1GB …

So its probably 2… changed the Amazon copied summary to reflect Lenovo specs.

    • I can see 2GB Ram

  • 10.1" HD+
and res of 1080p?, Thats FullHD…. which is correct…. checking….

    • Screen spec says:

      Size: 10.1” Full HD (1920 x 1200) IPS
      Type: Capacitive touchscreen 10-Point multitouch

      • +1

Yep. They've just been messing with their terms.
Naming it the HD+ and being FullHD, crazy people.

  • Trying to think if this is worth it. I need a new table as my Nexus 7 2012 is dying slowly and also want a new'er, possibly bigger one…but not sure. Don't really wanna spend $500 on a Nexus 9

    • Same… I did not get this one as too big/heavy for my needs plus reviews say its quite slow. Was just looking around for bargain alternatives to a Nexus 9 given its released price is not such a bargain as before … will probably just grab an iPad Mini 2 and get the GST back to replace my Nexus 7 2012.

      • +2

Yeah after a few reviews, this table looks pretty bad performance wise. Might have to suck it up and get the new Nexus, unless I can get my hands on a refurbished 2013 Nexus 7

        • That was my other plan, wait for a killer Nexus 7 2013 deal… however I would prefer the form factor on the Nexus 9 or iPad Mini…

        • @Pobman: I just upgraded my mini 1 to a mini 2 (retina) after the recent price drop on the 2 when the mini 3 was revealed. Its a nice toy, with a 10% off from DSE is reasonably priced.

  • noob question.. but can these tablets be used as a phone?

  • It's £274 mate

    • Seems the Amazon cheap ones sold out now, marked as expired.
