Includes Mars, Snickers, Twix as well as other varieties. It's definitely a good time to stock up on chocolate bars. On special from Thursday 17 September to Wednesday 23 September 2009. I found this in the Victoria catalogue, not sure whether it applies nationwide.

In a 'brilliant' piece of marketing; MARS red claim of being "half the fat" is only in relation to the (unnamed) most popular selling snack bars.
This is the usual FMCG strategy - when you reduce size, do some big promotions, then consumer reactions get negated and away you go with bigger profits later.
So do you fall for the strategy or stand on principles? Meanwhile others buy the bargains. Guess the best way is take the bargains go with the flow but protest later by not buying after the bargains are finished.
The mind games are fascinating…..
I was at coles in surfers paradise yesterday and they had 2 for $2 of the mars and snickers and $0.99 cent's for most other chocolate bares.
19 votes for the mars bars, 15 votes for the wii fit… does this say something about the ozbargain community?
I can confirm that this deal is being offered at Sydney Metro stores as well. I would hazard a guess and say that this deal is available nationwide.
