  • Well that was easy. Cheers OP!

Awesome! I'm so glad I caught this one. Many happy memories playing this.

Such a unique and interesting game. I highly recommend it.

It's worth the purchase price even when it's not free.
Bought this and the sequel earlier this year for my son to play (and me to play again).
He still goes around humming the theme!
Incidentally, it's also available for Apple and Android devices now for anyone who might be interested.

  • Thanks OP for the heads up, also grabbed the second one which is only $1.79 at the moment

    • Me too. Hope it works with Win 8.1

      • It does.

  • Thanks a lot!
Why didn't they make a third one?

  • Thank you very much!

Wait free for 24 hours, as in you need to buy it to continue playing.. or free forever but you have to dl / get it within 24 hours?

    • It'll be yours forever if you add it to your account in the next 24 hours.

  • can someone pray tell how this 'gog.com' gaming thing works? is it like Steam gaming downloads?

    • They do have a steam-like-client for keeping games up to date (its a newish thing - I don't use it) as far as I know the majority of games are DRM free and you just download and play them - simple.

Minimum system requirements - Windows: Windows XP or Windows Vista, 1.8 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM (1 GB recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), 2GB HDD, Mouse, Keyboard.

Now i know why my old pentium 1 166mhz pc struggled to run this

      lol. good luck with that.
i have picked up over 16 different free games to date and with gog, you have to have the game when you want to download any updates/patches next.

GOG is DRM free, so I don't see the paranoia about using disposable emails to sign up, they are at less evil than the likes of those that enforce DRM like origin. If anything, I would encourage people to get games from GOG first before steam.

  • Awesome game… even better sequel (which my bro still has a disc copy of). Great little freebie to run on the netbook or low end laptop.

Love GOG… so many free games of yester year on my account now!

  • Thanks OP. Loved the hell out of Twison's Odyssey, but never got to play Relentless.

  • love Gog.com!Thanks for this-l`ve never played it.So many great old games that l can play again! And they have just got a deal with Disney-Indiana Jones and The Fate Of Atlantis-whoohoo!

  • Hi Guys, is this game suitable for 8 year olds ?
    Thanks

    • Hmmm, it's been nearly two decades since I played it. From what I remember, should be fine. Has some minor violence … punching, kicking, political arrest and detention, y'know, the usual.

    • I tried my son on it when he was about that age but he got spooked by it and we stopped.
The Grobo's that appear from the teleporters get a bit vicious with a cane and such.
The music and sound effects can be a bit tense and the storyline might be a bit complicated for that age.
I think it's best left for the older kids, say 12 or so.

    • I think it would be too hard for 8 year old? Puzzle, riddles… Or maybe I was just stupid when I was playing

  • I can't see the link, am I overlooking it or is the offer over?

    Looks to be over
