Myer - TIVO now $594.15

210

Hi there. Picked up a TiVo machine today for $594.15 which is $100 cheaper than the competitors and a wireless adaptor for $59.46 which is $10 cheaper. They are having a mid year sale with 15% off home intertainment which includes TiVo. Thought it was a very good price.

I wonder if TiVo will be at eGames/iDef in Melbourne this year - http://www.digitallifestyleshow.com.au/. They were $400 at the event last year but I don't know what they will sell for this year or if they will even be there.

  • Tivo's are great.

Hi there ~ perhaps someone else may know the details but I am sure I saw a brochure at work in the weekend paper that TIVO would credit you the price of the wireless adapter if you purchased the TIVO unit as well. It may have involved a promo code or something. If anyone can post the details (and I am right) then it would work out even cheaper.

    • Gosh, I'd be all over this as well… where's a weekend paper when you need it?

    • I had a look through the weekend Sydney Morning Herald… but no mention of this in the whole newspaper. Nothing on the Tivo site either, so I think you may have imagined it, unfortunately!

  • what channels can you get on Tivo? i don't really get this Tivo thing.

The TIVO just a fancy HD PVR with a few extra features that make it special.

  • Nice deal

  • Hi, can these TiVos be scheduled to record AND skip ads ?

  • Tivo is abit over hyped….

    • Yea just abit aye…So expensive…

  • i don't knw if u can skip ads, but heard that it's freeview approved. generally freeview approved appliances cannot skip ads. If u want to skip ads and also record off ur foxtel i recommend Beyonwiz PVR DP-P2
