    • Yes, and all were giving me heart attacks.

      This one is no mistake.

      • i hope JB hifi will honor the deal. LOL. I called them this morning and they said they can make it at $537. I printed the webpage out. But not quite sure if they will make it now.

        • i rang some of the wa jb hifis and the cheapest laptops they had were $799+

love to know if anyone found some in WA

  • it should be posted up at 12pm AEST today on catchoftheday.com, then just struggle through the hordes and get lucky to get on and it's yours

  • Whats the warranty offered on this?

  • 2 years

  • asus has 2 yrs

  • considering the specs and the warranty. Actually it is not a bad deal

  • I was expecting a higher-spec laptop than this.

    • Considering the graphics card, it's good value.

That said, it's only useful for old games really.

Giving negative because of false advertising. Listed on CotD site saying it has a free upgrade to Windows 7 (by redemption) but when you go to the ASUS site, this model is not included in the free upgrade.

I wonder if CotD will honor their advertising and give all purchasers a free copy of Windows 7 themselves to avoid legal issues?

  • Nonsense, it is perfectly valid. The equivalent overseas model number is F5SR, as mentioned in the specifications. Just triple checked with Asus.

  • Note that ASUS charges $35 for 'free' Windows 7 upgrade if you live in Australia…
