  • Damm, Galaxy gear not available in black colour, only orange, well it was cheap from Yatango few months ago.

    • can change straps?

      • +1

no. the strap contains camera so it is fixed

    • +1

from yatango black also not available with cheap price.
by the way, orange is fine.

and before someone commenting this gear is useless because of the battery life, once you upgraded to Tizen o/s battery is OUTSTANDING - maybe last longer than your phone (if your phone is crappy and old).
unless you are super social and got notifications every minute.

      • +1

I agree, this is an amazing smartwatch after changing to Tizen.
3 days battery life, running a Matrix scrolling background watchface, with 30 second screen timeout.

I just changed to a Moto 360, and there are a LOT of features I really miss about my Gear.
In fact about the only thing the Moto360 does better than my Gear is look smarter.

Things I miss about my Gear:

        • 3 day battery life (instead of barely one day)

        • Taking photos/videos (no camera on the Moto360)

        • Being able to see the screen for 30 secs - 5 minutes - instead of forced off after 4 seconds.

        • Making and receiving phone calls via the watch (good when your phone is in another room - no speaker on the Moto360)

        • Looking back over the last few days notifications (texts, calls, Facebook notifications) and choosing to delete or reply from the watch, even days after dismissing them.

        • Replying to text messages with your favourite templates (Yes, No, OK, Call you later, See you in 10 mins, etc - great when a text comes through while on the toilet - the office mens room is not the best time to be talking to your watch and hoping Google understands you)

        • Thanks for the Info, I might get one now :)
Edit: out of stock now :(

    • Reviews are very poor for this watch, regardless of the price.

      • +1

LOL did you even read the reviews in the link I gave? Out of over 700 reviews over 400 gave it 5 stars

        • He might reading old review with old o/s, if googling please type galaxy gear tizen to get latest reviews.

        • Ok, lets see 400/700 = 57% 5 stars… still not convinced!. BTW I've been trying to convince myself to buy one since they were a couple of hundred bucks, at $89.00, I woul've jumped at it a few months ago. Not now, too many better options coming up. I know i'll still feel like Iwasted $89.00.

        • @RightplaceRontime: Well you will be paying bulk more the a brand new one that comes out, anyway it's out of stock

  • It's available, but not in $89, it's $149 in black colour…

  • personally, i would go with pebble watch instead of galaxy gear. great app store, 7days battery.

    • +1

I'd go with the galaxy because of the stainless steel build over plastic, the super amoled colour display, the fact it can make phone calls, a camera, that's some nice differences

      • Agree. I have both - and had the Pebble a lot longer than the Gear - but I never felt the need to put the Pebble back on again after buying the Gear.

      • I reckon $89 is worth it compare to pebble for $79.
Hope the stock will come back up tomorrow :)

  • Thanks for this! I ordered a R700 for ~$50 :)

  • Thanks! Got the Senn Momentums as a gift for a friend.
