  • how does this compare to the Miele S6210EX at HN for the same price

  • any idea whats the difference between this model>> Miele S8310 Family All-Round Vacuum Cleaner? apart from the cord length anyone please? thank you..

    • +2

The s8310 has touch buttons for power so you can change power setting with your feet instead of bending over, also it has a one touch cord retract system so you just press the cord retract button once and it retracts itself instead of having to keep your foot on it. Theres a few other things which i forgot. I have the s8310 and it is the best vacuum cleaner ive ever had.

      • So that means S8310 is a superior model. $299 is getting way too close in price to S8310 then

      • thank you.. i think another 80 bucks for 8310, i will go for that!

Does this model suck as much compared to a Dyson?

    • The full spec miele (non godfreys) we have is fantastic. Suction is never a problem.

I purchased a Miele from godfreys not long ago. They are not offical stockist of Miele and from my experience they use the brand name to get you in the door. At two locations they compared the Miele to a Hoover, showing the superior sucking power of the Hoover. I thought it to be strange so I opened the Miele while he was attending to anoth customer and found the bag completely full! I shut the Miele and asked if a full bag would affect the sucking power and he said yes you must change them regularly. I opened the Miele and showed him how full it was and asked can he change it so I could properly compare it to the Hoover. He refused to, he said there was no bags , but the shelf was full of them , then he said "well I can't open new bags " then started telling me how great the Hoover was again? I purchased the Miele in the end. Have to say it is much better than the dyson my flat mate had. Much more solid build and very well insulated so minimal noise. All round quality item. Ebay has bags much cheaper than store too. We change them roughly every 4-6 months.

Godfreys is dodgy! As a "premium" stockist of Hoover, Sauber and Wertheim they receive very high commissions for sales of these brands.

This is why when you visit Godfreys you will get pushy salespeople trying to flog you one of these brands (and at a premium price also). They will unfairly compare the machine you are interested in and do an infomercial style "comparison" with their monthly sales target.

Check out Whirlpool for their dodgy sales tactics. From personal experience I would stay away from Godfreys like the plague.

  • Does anyone know if it's made in China or Germany?

    • +2

      Just confirmed with them….China

  • +4

miele from godfreys are made in the PRC

      Get the real thing elsewhere.

    • +1

As are the German-sounding "Wertheims" they love to peddle so much; the company is actually owned by Godfreys themselves and are also made exclusively in China.

Godfreys were selling Mieles built just for them in the past. They were downspeced to meet a price.
Model numbers may be unique to godfreys.

    • They are still better than the rest of the cheap crap they sell.
