I am going to buy via Sydney gumtree latest mini Ipad 64 Gb +4G is $550.
Its 2 months old. The seller wants to receive cash instead of Paypal.The seller said its a gift so no receipt.
What are step I should check before buy? Like warranty….

Get the serial number and IMEI.
- Check to ensure it is not iCloud locked: https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/. If it is, ensure the seller unlocks it. Otherwise, don't buy.
- Check IMEI ensuring the device is not reported as a stolen device: http://www.amta.org.au/pages/amta/Check.the.Status.of.your.H…
- On the day, double check both (must ensure it is not iCloud locked, otherwise it is useless). In fact, ensure you can login to iTunes from the device using your Apple account.
- Check warranty status: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do (just to find out how much warranty is remaining). Apple will still support the device even if it is out of warranty, but if it is current gen, should still have a good few months left.
Inform the seller that you will be conducting those checks on the day (cash on delivery). If all good, cash is no issue.
