Gee you don't even have a month before they go out of date… 19/2/2015…

      • +2

you'll probably get renal failure for consuming that much protein in a short time

ill keep an eye on deals for cheap hospital bed stays with discounted hemodialysis.

      • +1

Actually I think it's a reasonable reason to neg. for the casual user this is an important point!

        • but its flagged in the post. (Perhaps it could be bolded)

These things will last longer than a month anyway esp given it has not been opened. For those who have a serve or more per day it is a bargain.

Bammers deserves the right to point out the expiry date. You don't deserve the right to tell him what he can and can not do. Don't get mad over such a minor thing.

The expiry date is clearly posted in the description - not like i'm trying to hide it! COTD protein deals are always short dated - that's why it's cheap! It's only a best before date - not a use by date. So it will still be fine for months after the expiry if one doesn't go through it by then.

    Is the brand Huawei?

  • It's just the BEST BEFORE date.

I'm still getting through a 20kg bag of WPC that I bought in 2009. No change in taste or smell and I'm not dead yet.

    • wow, 20kg would only last me 6 months at most

  • Has anyone tried this?
Recently I bought 3kg of Swisse vanilla protein from catch of the day with a short expiry date and it tastes horrible, it also makes a lot of foam when shaking, not sure if the bad taste is due to the short date, I suppose it is not.

    • Doubt it would taste bad due to the expiry! Probably just the brand i'm guessing.

I wouldn't buy these brands. Still to the well known brands like Syntha 6, Myofusion etc if not just for the taste. Bet anything this would taste horrid - I've had my fair share of protein tubs tossed out because of horrible taste. Don't trust the "great taste" labeling on these products anymore. Load of bull. Before someone says - I know taste is subjective but when my whole family thinks its bad - It's safe to say it's the product.

I would also not buy if you can't use the best before date. I purchased a protein bar when I was in Darwin that past the best before date (Atkins). I was throwing up for days.

    • So you are negging because they "might" taste bad.. Only thing is the ones you have listed are more than double this price… I have had a lot of different brands of protein - you get used to most of them even if they are not great. I can't say I have ever had one that was undrinkable!

Regardless of taste - if you look at purely protein content this is a bargain.
