HALF PRICE Woolworths Croissants 4pk $1.90

dammit… just bought some at Coles for $2… :(

    • Shame on you

    • +1

Did you eat them? If not, return or ask for price match.

      • Different brands…

    • how much is the price normally???

    • Hand in your OzBargain membership card immediately.

    • -1

Thats the sort of bullshit that makes me refuse to shop at Colesworths, bloody scamming the shit out you.

  • +1

    HALF PRICE Scoch-Brite Range

    • Lol Thanks Jv

    • +6

Wish it was half price scotch

    • Those are on offer today.

  • +1

This weeks specials are great. Can't recall this many of the things I commonly buy on sale at half price at the same time.

  • Junk food company's have so much better marketing than healthy food company's!

All I can think about is cheap chips and washing them down with a carton of pepsi max. lol

    • +2

Maybe because fatties have less self control and willpower, thus marketing is more successful by focusing mainly on junk food than healthy food? Cos why try to sell something to people who know all to well how to say 'no' to any kind of art of persuasion?? (and you know you're not going to be able to sell cardboard crackers to the fatties no matter what kind of dazzling adverts you use)

      :P

Just kiddinggg, not calling you or anyone who eats chips or (amusingly a diet) soft drink 'fat'. I don't exactly eat the purest diet myself ;) (edit - my post is more a sarcastic stab at the advertising industry, if anything)

      • +3

Likewise, but there is definitely an allure there.

Picture this: A nice ice-cold Toblerone. Snap off a triangle! Just one. Place it on your tongue and hold it your mouth. Oh that's nice! Feel the chocolate melt? Mmmmm. Just savour that for a minute. Now bite down on it. Oh yeah. Taste those little pieces of nougat? Heaven. Now swallow really slowly. Oh my god.

Go ahead, have one more. :)

        • Some degree of carb-craving is intertwined with the strong desire for things like chocolate. I mean I've been running up to the bakery to buy french vanilla slices, custard tarts, jam dougnuts, apple/apricot + custard danish pastries and all sorts of other things for other people for years now without feeling any significant desire to consume any of those things myself because I've been on a proper low-carb diet the whole time. I mean I remember that such things taste yummy I guess but I just never get that mouth-watering borderline-irresistable urge anymore. In a nutshell I just don't really care.

That might sound somewhat depressing to chocolate lovers and the like but if there is no craving there really is no battle at all, and therefore no sense of "going without" ;)

        • @cainn: i tuned out after reading french vanilla slice. sorry :D

  • Excellent price on the soft drink cans. Thanks for the early notice.

The price will be even better for me than the 38cents a can they are quoting on the add. I've got a $10 off a $50 shop offer at the moment from Everyday Rewards which reduces the cost a further 20%. I'm also using 5% discounted Wish cards so that takes the total down a little bit more.

    • Doesn't that expire tomorrow?

      I used mine yesterday…

      • This week is week 3 of the offer for me.

    • Didn't get the 7.5% discounted Wish cards?

      • I had planned to get the Entertainment Book last year but when Coles pulled out it wasn't worth it for me as I wouldn't use most of the vouchers in the rest of the book. I get the Wish cards from RACV.

This year I will definitely get the Entertainment Book just in case they run the same deal.

  • Pity Connoisseur ice cream isn't on special as often as Sara Lee. Sara Lee is still good though. :)

  • Since when has Myer joined the EDR programme? Hasn't it always been in the flybuy group?

    • None of those cards part of EDR. They're just gift cards sold at Woolies.

Maybe you confuse the coles myer gift cards. Only sold at myer and coles.

      • As in the title:

$10 Off Next Shop When You Spend $50 On Myer, Flight Centre, The Iconic, Freedom, Redballoon Or City Beach Gift Cards Using EDR Card.

        • So? What I said still applies.

Shop at Woolies and scan your EDR card. I don't know how else it can be explained.

        • @Sharp: Yeah to receive your $10 off on docket you must scan your edr card at time of purchase :)

    • Myer is not part of the Flybuys rewards program. They have the Myer One rewards program.

  • 1 gift card offer per EDR?

    • I wanna know that too. And whether there is a min spend for $10 discount.

    • I'd like to know this also. If I buy several Myer gift cards in separate transactions, will I get a $10 voucher each time?

      • Have put terms in post now guys

        • So looks like no minimum spend when redeeming the $10 coupon, except must be over $10 I guess.

        • @billy_bob: No mention of min spend in Terms

  • Do i get qantas ff points on gift card purchases?

    • Pretty sure you do, and you can get x3 (or 4 if local champion)points with amex ;)

  • Can anybody please advise if its possible to purchase Cole Myer Gift Cards from Myer using Myer gift cards?

  • George Prawn Gyoza 500g $4.20

These actually taste quite good, similar to dumplings

  • Pepsi is $9 on page 3 of the SA catalogue $10 on page 1 not $11 as per listing.

    • Yes, someone stuffed up there. I assume $10 should be the correct SA price and $9 is the one in the states that don't have 10c deposit on each can. I suppose there'll be a correction in the daily newspaper.

      • Last night on Adelaide TV, they were still advertising the Pepsi at $9, and I haven't seen any correction in the press, so it looks like SA is getting them at the same price as non-deposit states, which I think would be a first, and also the cheapest I have seen them since I started buying multi-packs regularly (27.5 cents per can after deposit refund).

    • Before the correction hits the papers. If it scans at a higher price than the catalogue then you get the item for free.

      • Went to get some today shelf price was $9 but no stock scored raincheck for 20 cartons thou. That makes 2 good rainchecks that i have scored lately the other being 3 telstra $30 sims @ $1 each late last year and honoured last week.

        • 20 cartons! Is there some limit on how much one can put on a raincheck, and do you have to buy them all at once when they show up? I suspect my local Woolies is also going to be out of stock (at least of Pepsi Max, which is the only one I want) when I drop in on Saturday.

        • Great work at getting the $1 SIM rain checks.

        • +1

@sween64: Really i cant take the credit for that the raincheck for the sim cards was achieved by my wife PENNYSAVER .(We achieved 9 sims from 5 family edr accounts)The 20 cartons are a result of requesting rainchecks for 5 flavours of Pepsi product x4 i would have preferred this as individual rainchecks as i only have a Holden Cruise.

  • still little confused, so you buy $50 at Myer etc and scan your EDR card then you get $10 giftcard (to spend at Woolies)?

    • +1

You get $10 loaded onto your EDR account. Next time you shop & swipe your EDR card $10 comes off your total docket spend.

      • -3

cool, thanks didnt know I can scan EDR card at Myer…

        • +2

You can't, if I'm not mistaken. You scan the EDR card at Woolies when purchasing the Myer gift card, and this is when the $10 is loaded on the EDR card (for you to then later use again at Woolies). The EDR card is at no point used at Myer.

All these cards and rewards and offers these days.. no wonder it's confusing :)

          1. Buy a $50 Myer, Flight Centre, The Iconic, Freedom, Redballoon Or City Beach Gift Card at Woolies
          2. Scan the EDR card when paying
          3. $10 will be loaded onto your EDR card
          4. $10 Off Must be Redeemed By 12th February
        • It's a Woolworth catalogue offer. Would suggest you need to spend at Woolworths to receive this deal.

        • Just make sure you don't buy $50 worth of stuff at Myer that would have cost you $40 (or less) at any number of other places just to save $10 at Woolies.

  • I cant see the bega cheese in the catalogue…?

    • Or Coon Slices 750g $5.30

      • i can see the coon but not the bega…

        • Yeah Some States will be Coon Some will be Bega :)

  • The Easiyo Yogurt Maker is also half price $11

It has some very good reviews

Can somebody please provide bit more feedbacks? How is the quality/taste?
Can I use normal powder milk (along with the active agent)?

  • +1

Spent the $50…docket shows entitled to $10 credit…spent $!0.23 and of course no discount..
Given run around by Everyday Rewards so contacted the Woolies CustomerCare line…
$10 gift card sent plus another $20 gift card for the run around…
Turned into a very good deal @$30 bonus for $50 spend.
