  • I think it is a targeted offer. I just tried it with my EDR and got "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion."

Works on new accounts or if you haven't done an online order before & you need an EDR card

can confirm that code works with a new account and EDR. Thanks

        • I wonder if it works with an old account but new EDR :)

        • No. Works with new account and old EDR though.

      whats an EDR ??????????????

      • Every day rewards

  • Woolworths is really pushing for online shopping.

And which retailer/supermarket isn't these days?

thing I love about online shopping is that the deli always give you more then you order…
    examples:

order 1kg of chicken breats, pay for 1kg, they give you 1.2

ordered 3 packets of mince, minimium of 700g.. the packets were about 6.87g, so they gave us an extra packet.

ordered 3 packets of ingams chicken pieces (were $6.50ea), they were out of stock, so they gave us the free range equivalent that were $15ea

this week I ordered 2kg of flathead fillets ($10/kg) they didnt have enough in stock, so I got 1.6kg of them, then 500g of tiger flathead fillets ($35/kg)

    • Yep love Woolies online shopping for this exact reason

    • Just shows you 1) the markup they put on their items (esp fresh food) 2) the cost reduction for woolworths by having people shop online

    • ordered 36 Canns of King Oscar sardines in extra virgin olive oil

They sent me 30 and then gave me 6 Can's of King Oscar sardines in soy oil that were $1.30 Cheaper per can for that soy version

WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! Will never buy from them again.

Did you tick the option that said no substitutions when you ordered?

        • +1

I have also had bad experiences with substitutions. IMO it's a bit dodgy that the 'allow substitutions' box is automatically ticked for you as you check out (i.e. you have to actively de-select it). I've been caught a few times, and found the substitutions awful (i.e. woolworths brand as a substitute for quality Italian peeled tomatoes, a mozzarella ball instead of ww gold burrata).

@adelee: I work at the Woolies Online store at Sydney. We should never give Select or Homebrand stuff for brand name products. Also, it should never be cheaper. But it is very dodgy.

        • You shouldn't need to.

If you ask & pay for something, they should give you exactly that. It's an interesting option, but hopefully just-that, option.

        • i didnt know that until now.. thank you :)

      • I like when people using a word "never" :)

        • ordered 136 cann's of king oscar sardines in extra virgin olive oil.. I cleaned them out of stock.. made sure the allow substitutions box was NOT ticked but they still gave me substitutions lol

Phoned up and they gave me a discount for the things they subbed i didnt like smaller 45g can's or the Tomato ones :) oh well.. i'm happy and will buy from them again in the future for sure

Create a new account and $20 off and repeat?

    • +3

They typically catch on to people making too many new accounts on the same address.

  • +2

Created 4 accounts already, reckon they'll get suss if I go for a 5th?

    • +1

Give it a go, let me know how you go

    • I would be getting close to my 5th account. Created another new one for this deal and order went through. Getting it delivered tomorrow.

I use https://mailinator.com whenever I have to sign up again because its easier than creating a new email account all the time.

      • +1

other option is to use a gmail account and place a full stop in a different place within the username each time.

      • I actually have about 10 accounts, every single one has worked. But ever since they introduced the delivery saver I've heard some ozbargainers had been found out. I figured the trick won't last anyway, so I picked up a 1 year delivery saver instead.

  • Order on a Sunday and receive stuff on time too!! Order on a Monday and… not so much!!

  • +5

Another account created.. another $20 saved :)

  • I tried to order by setting up a new account and got rejected. Do you think it recognizes my home address? I have never ordered online before

    • You need to put in your EDR number or it will not work

  • Double check your orders when you receive them. 1/3 of my order was missing.

  • Does this work for in-store collection?

  • Thanks OP :)
