  • Anyone know if this will be good for my '97 Honda Prelude? Damn thing eats oil …

    • Yes. But if it eats oil you should get it checked out. It's either leaking out somewhere or into the pistons.

      • If its a VTEC then it just eats oil anyway.

        VTEC YO! lol

  • Can this use on 2002 Corolla Levin ?
Standard engine oil for corolla is 10W-40

    • You will find the 5W30 is the recommended oil printed in the car manual.

    • it'd run like a dream in a corolla :)

  • Wow. Got myself 3 cans of these when they were going for 34 bucks a few months ago. Gonna get 3 more!

  • super price.. nice oil!

  • Will be picking 2 or 3 bottles up this weekend, great price. I use this regularly in my 1996 R33 Skyline GTSt (Turbo) and have never had an issue.

  • err. levinet i wouldn't be using such a thin oil for a 10+ year old turbo car.. especially because summer is coming real soon. try 10-40 dude otherwise u might damage your engine

  • great deal!!

  • can u only use it in high performance cars ?
or can i use it in my 93 Mazda 121 bubble >.<"

  • Don't know much about car…how does this go with 09 Mazda 3 Neo BL?

  • Bought 3 online. with 15 dollars extra for the delivery fee.
I am lazy to go into the shops..

    Awesome price.

OK JUST TO GET A FEW THINGS STRAIGHT FOR THOSE ASKING IF ITS GOOD FOR THEIR CARS

1.) do NOT put it in your car if its older than 8 years and/or has done over 100,000 kms (unless..see below)
2.) primarily for sports tuned engines (hence Castrol Edge SPORT), e.g VTECs, Turbos, Straight 6s, etc. If you have a standard Mazda 121 Bubble, Mazada 3, Toyota Corrolla, etc, your wasting your time, it will actually deteriorate your engine. You need a thicker oil hammer88

"Can this use on 2002 Corolla Levin ?
Standard engine oil for corolla is 10W-40"

No… too thin for your car. stick with whats recommended.

"Anyone know if this will be good for my ‘97 Honda Prelude? Damn thing eats oil …"

No.. too thin aswell… you will damage your engine. get something like 10W-50 for your car

    • Hi frostman, what do you recommend for a 1998 Honda Civic GLi?

      • Zeppey,

        Sorry for the late reply,
        Been away…

"what do you recommend for a 1998 Honda Civic GLi?"

Depending how many Ks its, done, i'de estimate around 160,000+ at the current model of your car, unless its hardly driven, you'll be looking at a 20W-40
Dont get Anything in oil less than 20W or 40

    • cheers

    • Thanks frosty,

What do you recommend for a Honda Prelude VTiR 1998 model in Brisbane climate?

From your message, I'm guessing I need something thicker. But I don't understand what those numbers mean… 10W-40? 20W-50?

This is a great place to get bargains as well as advice :)

      • -wobble, 10W-40 will be ok for your car (since its Vtec), again slightly depending on the Ks, although its not a major factor, it would be when the odometre has a difference between 80.000Ks and 180,000Ks

in a nutshell, 10W-40 indicates viscosity levels at cold temp, and operating (hot) temperature. "generally" an Older car, with more Ks, requires thicker viscosity to protect the engine, and not thin out too much at high (operating temps)…and obviously, the thinner the oil for a sports car, the better it is for the engine in terms of speed/racing, and/or normal driving.

    • Hi frostman, my car is a Toyota Celica 2002 and has already done over 135000 kms, is this oil good for it?

      • Thin oil is usually classified as either 0W, and 5W,
the next step which is 10W isnt very thin, but for a celica, its a more sportier engine than a standard corolla 1.6L. so 10W-40 should be sufficient, especially because you dont have much Ks on it.

  • Great post mate,

Good luck posting deals using the catalogue pictures like you have done here.

I have had enough of the moderator "hueydata" picking on most of my automotive posts for adding the pictures of the item instead of using the web links etc, just check some of my past posts to see what I mean.

It's just not worth the hassle anymore which is why I have now stopped posting deals on this website thanks to a certain moderator.

I just come back to check the deals sometimes and have noticed that it's allright for others to post deals with pictures but not for some.

  • basically good for any VTEC, Small capacity turbos, VVTL-i , mivec etc engine// high revving engines

  • how good is castrol edge sport when compared 5w-30 when compared with Mobil 1 5W-50 (I think) in terms of quality?

    I like the price.

  • Hi folks, my car is a Toyota Celica 2002 and has already done over 135000 kms, is this oil good for it?

    • I've got a 2001 lexus is200 with 125,000kms. I've always ran with 5w-30 although what Frostman said is true with some exceptions. Your manual should tell you what oil to run and if it says 5w-30, then this is the best oil to get.

  • when the sale finish? im thinking to get 1 tomorrow.
