Just so nobody buys without noticing. It's a refurbished product and only has a 3 month warranty.

  • Here's a link to a review that is fairly glowing, though mediated somewhat by the user comments thereafter, particularly for prospective Aussie users:

  • price?

  • oh, and I bought my brand new Navman for $170 a while ago from ht.com.au, a very capable navigator with safety camera alert as well.

Refurbished by TomTom Australia, should change your title

  • I wonder why there are so many of these refurbished units? Build quality must be really bad, either before market or after market? Seem an issue worldwide.

    • No people are not sticking them right and when they fall off they break..

    • Lots of refurb units might not necessarily be due to build quality. It could be due to their warranty procedures where they may accept 'faulty' (because the customer is never wrong =P) units that are in fact fine.

It's also beneficial to have easy warranty procedures as it makes the customer happier and the supplier happier.

'course this is all just speculation, take from it what you will (and yes, electronics do sometimes just go faulty for no apparent reason).

  • Could be dead pixels too :0

  • Is this the same model as the one shopping square atm?
