I got an email Oct 6 explaining about all the members that signed up and that we would be receiving them soon.
If I receive them soon I won't really mind, but considering its already been a month since that email its a little strange.

considering All of you do not fit in these guidelines I cant understand how you can complain-Did you receive our email explaining that even though you did not become a member within the guidelines we were going to still give you a sample?????? but it was going to take time????

I'm hoping mine is amongst that 50 Big Chief! As I said elsewhere, I'm very certain I'd have been well and truly in the first 100, I was on the site registering within seconds of it being posted here, and got my confirmation email within a few minutes of completing it! ;)

I'll be more than happy to order, once I've sampled and know which flavours I like! I'll probably even splurge for a kg to get a free Laura, er I mean T-shirt, mainly coz I eat a lot of dried beef anyway (chinese niu rou gan) as it's a great lean protein source when I'm on the go; but I'm sure as hell looking for some new flavours! ;)
Keep in mind it might be a source of protein but for health it's very high in salt (Sodium 1780mg/100g) so the usual moderation thing applies…

dont eat a kilo at a time because it is high in salt but remember its not a meal but a snackfood-We have one of the best nutritional ratings in all beef jerky in Australia and to be honest we have blindfold taste tested almost all other Jerky's and we get a 10/10.

@GeronimoJerky: Just wondering if they vacuum seal the packs straight after the drying process where's need for all that salt in beef jerky these days? Maybe you could lower it and advertise "low salt" as well for your ones!
I gotta say, it's bloody hard to order a kilo when still waiting on the sample from how long ago??!! How is anyone (other than those who managed to complain and therefore 'jump the queue') supposed to know whether they will like it or not. I understand that you explained that you would send more samples over and above what you originally promised, but the time this has taken has probably left a bitter taste in the mouth of a lot of people here.
It may cost you several thousand to send the samples but if you want viral marketing and word of mouth advertising to work for you then your priority should be to provide a significant number of samples to encourage that to work. Sending 50 every few weeks is hardly helping that cause. Get those samples out in larger numbers, get people enjoying it and talking about it, and you could probably expect quite a lot of orders, especially leading up to xmas (xmas and family get togethers).
That's how I would have done it, but admittedly it isn't my company and therefore don't want to come across as a know-it-all.

Just want to know if anybody from OzBargain has actually received the sample. There must be some OzBargainers got into the first 100. I thought I got into the first 100 as well, but apparently not.

How long do you estimate till everyone receives there sample (that was eligible)
I posted in the original thread. 50 a week = 40 weeks = about 10 months.

To be honest I didnt want viral marketing-I was just so excited that I could now bring my Geronimo Jerky to you and I wanted everyone to enjoy it-
With over 20 years of making it and everyone amazed at the taste I had three amazing Aussie friends that joined forces and supported me to be able to do this.
I was overwhelmed with the response from OzBargain and lotto.com.au with now 2000+ members. I was excited about this and maybe jumped the gun by not sticking with the deal of just 100 but wanted everyone to enjoy our Geronimo Jerky.
I probly did it wrong but the dream is still alive.

I recall signing up within 5 minutes of you posting the offer on OzBargain (I was also one of the first commenters on it), and yet I have not received a sample nor has anyone else on OzBargain it seems. If the deal was posted elsewhere first, and the "first 100" samples were already allocated as is seemingly the case, wasn't it kind of pointless posting the offer to OzBargain?
Pity, since I was genuinely interested in your jerky (good jerky is hard to find in Australia, after all!).

I eat beef jerky every day. If I were to receive a sample I could compare to the other brands I eat. I applied the first time around but I obviously didn't make the cut. Any chance of getting one sent out?

I wonder if you might want to include a "Where did you hear about us?" field so you can see where the orders originated from. Might be interesting to see if the samples make a difference. I bet they do.
Oh and your Original flavours aren't working in the cart/shop. Might want to fix that up soon.

Hi Chief, name on your site is samb0rg. Didn't receive a sample, but looking to buy the 40g pack of each flavour anyway. Can't wait any longer! After putting "1" in each of the desired flavours, it only registers two items in the cart and not the third. Any ideas?

I never got my original free sample. I just bought 2kg of Jerkey from some aussiebilltong site, which was shit. Probably wont bother again unless I know it's going to be decent.
1kg is a lot of jerkeys…
I don't expect you to give free samples to so many of us, but I know I would try it for sure if you had a free shipping promotion. Don't mind paying to try all the flavours before buying more but $9 shipping for 3 packs of 40g seems a bit steep. Maybe you should consider charging shipping per order instead of per pack.
Agree with this. I think it would be great if you come up with a way to combine shipping.

or even do a combined sampler pack just get them to create another item which includes a small pack of each for a reduced shipping rate, as soon as shipping comes down for multiple items will order as i think its a tad to much to pay for shipping on each item u buy

Re issues with the website:
The website doesn't support going from a box to another box properly.
Workaround: Enter 1 in the first box, click something else, then enter the second box, etc. Don't go directly from one box to another.
Of course it would be better if the designer can fix the issue!

First of all Thank you for all your orders-We are taking off a fresh batch in 2 hours and will try and get it out this afternoon.
On Monday we sent out 50 samples to our members and Tuesday 150. Mondays was the Original flavour and Tuesdays was a mix of Blazin Saddles and Original- So be careful its hot but not insainly hot.
I hope you Like it if you get some in the next couple days.

Ok, drumroll please! ;)
I got my sample today, thanks again Big Chief! Let me just say it was worth the wait IMHO! :)
BC kindly put two samples in my letter, Original and Blazin Saddles! I was very impressed with both, the original is really tasty without being grossly salty or sugary as some other jerky can be, I would have to say it's pretty much perfect for my palate, the flavour of the spices compliments the beef without overpowering it!
Same goes for the Blazing Saddles sample, it has all the flavour of the original, with a decent chilli kick that is not like some wishy-washy chilli products you get, again just the right amount of fire! It's really nice on it's own (for people like me who like their chilli spicy) but I can see it would be simply outstanding with a few cold beers!
You can tell both are low in fat just by tasting, and you don't have to dust off gross flavour powders or crystals of sugar or MSG like some other products; Bravo Geronimo, fantastic products! :)
10/10 from me Big Chief, both for product and service! :)
P.S. I'm looking forward to tasting the Spicy Shaman too, I'd like to make that my 200g bonus pack from the letter deal when I order my kg tonight! :)
I also received my sample (original), better late than never! Unfortunately didn't last very long (no-one else got to try any and I had to hide the evidence) and now my mouth is watering for more! Highly reccommended!!
