  • what is the "beachside resort" exactly? Property name etc..?

  • +1

Would be all over this if it had of been a week earlier before hell broke loose!

  • Not intending to give a negative comment to Bestflights, but personally I don't really see this as a big bargain on the part of Bestflights. V-Australia is the one offering $199 SYD-NAN fare (under $400 return), and accommodation in Fiji can be had easily for $50 a night with the current strong AUD. The cheapest fare Bestflights has advertised ($489) works out to be around flights plus accommodation at $45 a night (since it's twin share) at an unnamed "beachside resort".
And regarding the "hell broke loose" comment, it is not the intention of the Fijian military or the Fijian government to disrupt tourism, so just stay clear of Suva, don't talk about politics, and you should be fine.

    • Cheers for that advice. I'm heading there next year instead of having a 21st so I was getting a bit worried :P.

      • Please dont be scared of all the political things going around in Fiji. NO matter how much happening is happening it hardly affects the normal life style there. Plus you dont want to miss SUVA

  • bad resort in a bad area though. recommended by only 53% on trip advisor.
the price for the flights is good

  • I would spend the extra $200 and go to Westin Denarau. That is a bargain.
To some of the above comments:
    - Fiji is TOTALLY safe. This is a political matter. It will not affect tourists.
    - Fiji dollar was devalued by 20% earlier this year (by the govt) and has gone even further down with the strengthening AUD. Things there are very cheap for us now.
    - I would suggest going shopping in Main St, Nadi (about 10 min shuttle from Denarau) for good shopping and the experience.
    - Most islands are easily accessible from Denarau.
    - Suva is just as safe as the rest of Fiji. People who say otherwise do not know.

  • is it more to depart from bris??? im interested in the westin
