Excellent was hoping some store would discount xenoblade chronicles

Man, the game looks great. It's a shame they've made it new 3ds only, which seems like a pretty cheap way too sell off more consoles.

      • +4

But the old 3DS couldn't handle it. It isn't as powerful as the new model.

        • +1

And in two years time when the next DS model arrives, there will have been a total of 2 games that took advantage of the extra power.

        • I still feel they should put in a little more effort seeing as they are charging full price for an inferior port.

@cathole: I can't buy a copy of Xenoblade for Wii for $47, I also much prefer to play JRPG on handhelds so for me it's perfect.

Thankfully it hits when I have a few days off so I can try and put a dent in this beast of a game. Great price

  • cheap cod megabloks!

  • Some not bad prices here. Any idea how long the deals will last?

    • The cheap games at bottom will be while stocks last and there are more in store on special

  • Thanks! Glad Xenoblade is going cheap. Any Big W brochures end up on your front lawn as well with Xenoblade in it?

    • Nah just that Big W wknd one

      • Damn! Thanks anyway =)

Similar promo with Kmart and the Infinity Gaming Items, although the starter pack is $30 at kmart not $34

    • Can confirm its 30 bucks there.

      • Hi guys…just checked the KMart website and that says $59 for the Starter Pack. Is it on sale tomorrow as well as the Target one?

        • In the catalogue starting thursday.

        • @carlitos: Great, thanks.

        • Yes its starts with the catalogue on thursday

  • I'm really feeling it!

    • Backslash!

      • Now its Shulk time

  • My catalog says 1st April until the 19th

    • Yeps school holidays plus the extra this week.

  • Disney Infinity 2.0 worth 35 bucks?

    • It is pretty fun but do not expect the game of the year or anything. Great price with cool figures. I would consider the spider mand and gurdians packs at $14 as they add almost the same amount of content

  • I got the version 1, do they still work? with these version 2.0?

    • The v1 figures work in v2 toy box mode. The v2 figures don't work in v1.

  • Wooohooo… Awesome post for Xenoblade. Gonna price match with EBgames so i can get the exclusive xenoblade theme from EB.. XD

Also for disney infinity figures, hopefully loki and falcon are also on special for 1/2 price. Been holding back on them to complete my collection. muahahhaa

  • gonna price match with EBgames and get more carrot points :)

  • Monster Hunter Ultimate 3DS

Pretty sweet, too bad I don't have the "new" 3DS so only have one analog stick though =( Circle pad pro is awful.

    • I've got the N3DS but i rarely use the circle pad when playing mh4u… I always press the L button that locks on the enemy to navigate the enemy's whereabouts.. If you don't have it you should get it, it's an awesome game for sure ;)

      • How about looking up and down?

        • i don't really look up and down but if i had to i use the d-pad. There's not much situations where up and down is needed. Or am i missing something???

        • @piggiepanda: how about multiple flying enemies and gunner's?

          CStick is great for MH4U.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

Well i mainly switch between Great Sword and Insect Glaive. For GS i use the uppercut atk, while IG i use the jump atk.

Not really a fan of guns, in MH3U i did use the kelbi bow but now its nerfed XD

I'm still trying to get use to implementing the CStick in the game (MH4U).

          MH4U is great indeed ;)

  • Was in target today seeing someone whack 10 copies of ghosts on hold, asked him if it was as he'd seen the price tomorrow.

He replies with 'Will be on gumtree for $50 each tomorrow."

    Wow.

what an d*ck head that guy is, some people can be so greedy and not share. Hope he losses his money

  • Seems like nice cheap prices for Disney Infinity.
Anyone shed some light on how Disney Infinity works? Have the original game on the wii and I think it is pretty boring.
Regarding the Marvel starter packs and Toy Combo packs, Do you need to buy both "packs"?
What is the difference btwn the Marvel starter and Toy combo packs (I know characters etc, but what is the purpose of each?)
I could just purchase the Marvel Starter pack and a few marvel characters and this would be enough to play the game?
Also is it a good idea to buy the discs and are the necessary ?

I just don't understand the difference… skylanders are so much easier!

Infinity is okay, mostly for kids though. You have play sets and the toy box. Play sets are themed mini games like The Avengers or GotG, where usually only they can play in it together to do missions… there's a symbol in the top right corner that tells you what play set they belong to. Then you have the toy box which is a sandbox where you can roam around building things and doing whatever. Any character can go in the toy box. Toy box in my mind is pretty pointless but kids might enjoy it. Plus many characters can only be used in the toy box… yawn.

It helps to have two or three characters per play set… but unlike Skylanders, all their skills are pretty generic and there's no need to mix and match.

For those who's planning on getting disney infinity 2.0 figures Loki and Falcon are not on special. Still scanning at full price. Manager told the staff "big" ones are not included O.o

  • Successfully pricematched Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS @ JB Hi-Fi (Canberra Centre), even though the local Target doesn't have stock and it's not currently appearing on Target's online store.

    • Did mine today too at EBgames, got the preorder bonus too. Still worth it without the preorder bonus ;)

  • The Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack is $30 at Target Rhodes (NSW). I got the PS3 version but there were PS4/XB1/Wii U versions there too for the same price. Lots of 2.0 figurines for $7.50 too (except for a few, like Loki which was $15)

  • Is this Australia wide? Or is it specific region?
