  • Just beat me to it.

  • +1

    great deal again from Master.

Too bad this doesn't combine with the Wollies Gift Card to get extra 5% off

    • +5

It's better to do the price beat at Bunnings to get extra 10% from this sale

  • +2

    Good find m8

  • Oh nice! After an inverter generator and the one I was looking at is reduced by $135.00.
Have $300.00 in gift cards though. Can't see a way of using them with this, whish is a shame.

    • -6

      "Wish is a shame"

      Get it? Pun

      Wish gift card

      Much funny

    • You don't have to spend the value of your gift card in full - just use it for the $135 purchase and keep the balance for the next occasion…

      • +1

I think rattle is getting at the fact that there is no way to use the gift card as a method of payment with eBay. [Plus $135 is the discount so his inverter generator is more than his gift card balance ;) ]

        • Sorry, what I meant was…
I can get $135.00 0ff with the discount, taking it to around $540.00 and I have $300.00 in gift cards, but it looks like I can't use them on this Ebay purchase, which would make my actual out of pocket cost way less.
          Hope that made sense. :-)

  • is there any price guarantee at masters within 7 days?? just bought a blower at 10% off last week and now 20% off!! not happy… :((

edited: found this link but not sure it's applicable for my purchase though - https://www.masters.com.au/DIYProjectsIdeas/SupportHelp/mast…

    anyone got any ideas?

    • give them a call. not sure about masters but dick smith did it for me when they had 20% off ebay. Probably because a lot of people do what s4nju suggest below so they may as well cut out the extra paperwork of returns.

    • +5

Buy a new one and return it on previous receipt :P

  • +7

Just by cheaper one and return the new one with old invoice

    • -3

but i have already assembled and used it… :((

      • +8

How did you manage to assemble and use something you haven't purchased yet ?!?

Hint : I think you need to re-read s4nju's comment, and maybe replace "by" with "buy" ;-)

        • +1

ahh… guess it's time for me sleep now.. lol… :P

        • @demere:

          Enjoy your day off :-)

      • +3

but you're returning the NEW one

        • +7

          Math is hard.

      • +2

Buy another one at the cheaper price, then return the new one with the old receipt.

  • Bought one of these from them last week. :-(

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Olsent-Hi-Velocity-Floor-Fan-Chro…

    • Bought one months ago and it was crap. Rattling sound when on. My Heller is way better.

      • There must have been something wrong with it because this one doesn't make a rattling sound.

      • +2

        It's Heller good?

    • Great find, just purchased will definitely come in handy next summer.

  • +2

Fans are already heavily discounted, so if this stacks, there could be some extremely cheap deals

    http://stores.ebay.com.au/officialmastersstore/Portable-Fans…

    • Looked at "Hunter Pacific 1320mm Intercept Ceiling Fan with Fluorescent Light - Silver"
$230.00 before discount, 184 after discount. Price is $189 at lightingillusions.com.au with Free delivery. Slight saving but nothing special

  • Can I return an item I bought 2 months ago, I still have the receipt?

    • As long as it is new, unused, unopened

  • +15

No "proper" power tools listed. Mainly 909 and Wesco rubbish.

    • +1

True, but keep the receipt.. Especially for the 909 gear. They offer 909 days warranty! :)

  • +1

The greenhouse I'm looking at is the same price on the website

    • +1

discounted price is not shown in the search result list view - only when you click on individual item.

      • +1

Oh ok my mistake. I'll call it 2.30AMitis.

  • -1

I am thrown off by the click and collect conditions… it's going to cost me $10 to pick it up in store?

    • +3

      Click and collect is free.

  • +1

thanks op. added more maglites to my collection.

and don't forget cashrewards! i nearly did :o

  • +1

So how you get the 20% off? Or those prices are already 20% off?

  • +2

Is there a code? I'm looking at a few items but their historic prices seem cheaper.

edit: nvm, it automatically deducts at checkout.

  • +2

I just clicked an item and this was there if that helps

"Discount will be applied when you add promotional items from masters_home_improvement to your cart"

  • +4

Very limited stock in eBay store, less than 10% thats offered in there online store.

    • +5

      That would be "limited range".

  • +6

No Dremel stuff, in case your are wondering.

    • first thing i searched for :(

  • +5

If you take a screenshot and either print it or just show your phone at Bunnings, they will beat it by another 10%. Just tried at my local store and they said while the masters promo is on there is virtually no questions asked when beating it.

    • +6

I'm not loyal to anyone, I just want the cheapest price.

      • +7

        That's the OZbargain spirit

    • Which Bunnings did you just go to?

    • +3

Yeah, curious as to what store you went to as I thought they were all closed due to P/H?

    • Do you know if this includes matching ozito to 909 or wesco?

  • -2

I never see anything I want to buy at Masters - I just find they seem to mainly sell a lot of poor quality products… what do others buy at Masters?

    • +3

      Dyson products :)

      • +2

Ah yes, the Apple/ Samsung of vacuum cleaners…

    • +1

Are they poor quality products, or just brands that you're not familiar with? I see a number of American brands there that others don't import.

      • +1

Well I've tried a few of the 'exclusive' masters brands; bought a Euromondo garbage disposal (built by Franke), that died recently just outside warranty which is 2 years not the usual Franke 5 years. Bought one of the 'Worx' pressure cleaners, part of that broke on second use (spinning head) just outside the warranty period too. And the garden products I've bought there - Soil, Compost, Manure etc… when I got them home I felt like they had sold me bags of saw dust. I've been there for screws, and furniture stoppers, and end caps etc. - they didn't have any of the ones I needed on those occasions, so I went to elsewhere to get them. I have to admit I like to buy tools, yet I walk around that section of the store and always walk out with nothing. I've also been looking around at outdoor furniture recently, but I don't think a lot of their products are even rated for the weight of a few of my relatives.

        • +1

I buy items like this on my gold, black or platinum credit card. This way I get an add year or two warranty for free. Comes in handy when just out of warranty.

        • +1

@deal88: There is usually an excess for claims, check your PDS. The Westpac Altitude Black excess is $250.

        • @deal88: Want to hear the bad news in my case, bought the Euromondo on my NAB Platnium with 12 months extra warranty coverage - only problem, can't find the receipt. So I asked Masters to reprint it - THEY WON'T DO IT, as it's more than 13months ago (store policy) even took it up with customer service (they won't touch it unless it was an internet order).

    • -1

A fair chunk of their range is comparable with Bunnings, except for tools. Their tools are generally crap!

      • I take it the 2 that negged either work for Masters or have never built with anything stronger than balsa wood in their life!

  • Would I be able to purchase the weber n price match to good guys at $599 n get 20% off

  • Sanyo Eneloop 4xAA 70% capacity, click and collect

  • +1

Finally bought a Weber… Not as cheap as the csizzle 50% off but atleast it's available.

    • How much did u get the weber for?

      • $300 for the Q2000

    • I see so many references to Weber's on OZB. Can someone tell me why they are so good over a regular hooded BBQ?

      • +1

It is the Apple of BBQ's. Hence the zombies.

      • I've wondered this too. Any insights?

      • Not sure??? I just can't fathom trying to cook everything on those tiny little plates compared to my 6 burner with wok and bench top!

        • Weber makes larger bbqs but they are out of most people's price range.

  • Hi, I am looking to buy a new self-propelled lawnmower. Is this any good? Seems to be a good price 21" for $379 + postage (probably $65-$85), or should I get a 20" with a Briggs and Stratton engine for $399 + postage?

NEW TOMAHAWK USA 21" 6.5HP SELF PROPELLED LAWN MOWER LAWNMOWER Mulch and Catch
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-TOMAHAWK-USA-21-6-5HP-SELF-PR…

  • Darn it! Just bought off them earlier this week.

  • Dear all,
I am looking for a lawn mower and snipper.
    any recommendations?
budget is limited, any suggestions please?
    regards

    • I got the 56V ego snipper. Looking forward to giving it a go, after recent good experiences with other lithium tools.

    • +3

I personally like Honda lawnmowers, they are workhorses. (I used them in my business for years & still use the same ones in my own garden now).

Briggs & Stratton engines are also workhorse engines but get temperamental.

    • Bought the Troy Bilt 3in1 this month.
      Honda engine, starts every time.
Only $375 now but not on eBay.
A great bargain for a Honda powered mower I think.

  • Good bike chain here to use as a secondary with a U-lock: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Abus-8-KS-Chain-8mmx110cm-/221610…

This one is 10mm, overkill unless you don't want to use a U-Lock: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Abus-Square-Chain-Black-10mmx110c…

  • Click and collect not working for me. Keeps saying it won't ship to my address even though I click the local store and click & collect (which has stock and is only 4 km away). Sigh.

Ebay really needs to work on their site. It's seriously shithouse.

    • it did that for my po box address. i put a '.' in there i.e. "po bo.x" and it accepted.

      • what about P.O. Box?

        • +1

didn't try that. i know "bo.x" works for supercheap auto's click and collect so i just went with that :)

  • has anyone had any experience with the WORX pressure cleaners?
Only need it for general cleaning around the house

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221619679205

    • Had some tools and the quality is good enough. Not a fulltime user though, not sure about longevity.

  • -1

Only the Ebay store this applies to not the actual stores

  • Can anyone recommend me a good value whipper snipper?

    • Also chasing a good whipper skipper. Any recommendations?

      • stihl fs38

      • Not sure if sold by masters, but my entry level Honda has exceeded all of my expectations. Couldn't recommend it enough. I was very hesitant to pay the premium and it took me a long time of looking at cheaper models before I took the plunge, but well worth it IMO.

      • +1

The ego range is pretty solid. I use bosch 36v myself. Bought from masters when they had 10% off.

      • I purchased the troybuilt straight shaft and a hedging and edging attatchment which goes well.

  • So does time include electrical appliances? Dysons?

    • It does seem like Dysons are included.

      • The dyson ctech20 deal is probably better esp since you get a free dc45

        • +2

          Isnt ctech20 over?
