Seriously, the best game I have ever played.

    • -4

      Why?

I have it, and can't say it's anywhere near the best. It's OK at least from me, but nothing to praise about.

      1. It's dark and creepy.
      2. No music, just creepy sounds.
      3. Kind of sadistic?
      4. It just goes on and on. No levels.

Yeah I wanted 'Where Them Girls At' by David Guetta on the soundtrack.

        • -4

Um… Wouldn't be my choice but OK.

I find the lack of current top 10 pop hits in this game disturbing.

        • And superheroes. Where the hell are the superheroes?

        • @dd22qq: AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SHOOT ANYONE WITH MY GUNS WHILST SOMEONE SHOUTED "HOO-RAH!"

      • +11

You've pretty much just listed WHY it's such a great game

        • +2

OP should add those points to the main post

      • +2

You've listed the reasons why it is such a great game.

To me, it was more then a just a 2D puzzle scroller. The evolving ambience of the game really tugs at your emotions, and the lack of plot leaves its open to interpretation. And it is extremely sadistic, that's what makes it such an emotional experience.

And I don't know if you've reached the ending - but its so open-ended that it is amazing on its own.

I have played heaps of games in my life, and never felt the connection I had with Limbo (I know it sounds cliche, but its true). This is a game I will only ever play once, but continue to think about well into the future.

I bought the humble bundle with both Limbo and Braid and thought that they were both magnificent. There was just one mildly frustrating moment where owing to the dark palette of the game I couldnt see a little hook that I was supposed to jump onto.

But an absolute masterpiece nevertheless. I did consider Braid to be the better game, but they are both outstanding. That was a great humble bundle, they havent come anywhere near that since.

      • Hope you got the hidden ending with Braid. Pretty awesome finding out what it's actually all about.

    Amazing game!

    The best game.

Such a great game. Played it though on the xbox when it came out, and very happy to pay $1 to play it again on the tablet.

  • Started this on PC, but never finished because I don't have time to sit down and play on my PC anymore. Had my eyes on the Android version for a while so I can play on the go… held back due to price but now definitely a bargain!!

    Thanks

Thanks to the reviews, I bit the bullet and paid for it, downloaded it and will see how I go with it, when I have time to play. Lol!

Thanks OZBargain. First game on Android I actually paid money for!!

    • +1 for the first game purchase! Me too!

    • Good start… But hoping you paid money that was earned using Google rewards..

Are we all looking for a way to spend our survey credit? :P

    • Yeah. I was saving up for Flight Radar but this is pretty tempting :>

  • +2

Thanks, bought with some of my hard earned surveys money ^^

    • haha I did the exact same thing, I really like the idea of survey money.

    • How does one obtain survey credit?

      • +4

One downloads the Google Opinions app

  • DISCLAIMER* - Not a kids game!!
    Awesome though, lots of fun.

  • -6

This app is incompatible with all of your devices.

  • My telstra account is $1.12 poorer now. Thanks

  • It's not the best platform game I have played. But, this game is unique. I enjoyed the PC version, and I know I will enjoy the Android version too.

  • Is this better played on PC or Android? Usually, I'd expect PC to reign supreme, but is the Android version good enough to play? Thoughts from those who may have had a chance to play both?

  • I was saving my google credit from the survey app for getting Pro versions of the apps I use… but I simply had to buy it after all these reviews. Thanks OP :)

Sounds good. Used my Google balance from the surveys, so no cost. Thanks.

Seems this game is set as non-downloadable on a lot of (somewhat) older phones, for whatever reason (more so than most modern platform games).

Don't know if it's worth messing around with the build.info to work around it (if that will even work).

    • Yep, not compatible with the LG G2 running CM12.
Unfair, I was convinced to download it reading the comments above.

  • It installs on the $40 Huawei Y550.

    • Sweet, I've got that phone (Thanks Ozbargain!)

OK Expert Gamers, bought the game and downloaded last night on wifi,
Can you please tell me how the controls work and what to do, all I see is a guy on a black screen that moves sometimes when I tap / swipe the screen.

Nothing else seems to happen, Can someone enlighten me please. I have seen the controls screen doesn't help..

    • Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that got stuck. I also unlocked an achievement for going the wrong way. Lol

      • +1

I also unlocked an achievement for going the wrong way. Lol

How'd you do that ? Ha ha < I didn't even get that, I am just stuck on the screen and it does nothing, Anything I do on the screendoes not move anything…

Ocassionally on tapping the guy turns this way and that and moves a little. So far dissappointed at the game or atleast the tutorial side of it..

        • It's just an invisible virtual joystick on the left side of the screen like many games.

Drag your thumb on the left side to move.

        • @dealman: me too kinda…could get movement, but hopeless dying in the first spiked ditch.

        • @marcozmitch:

Yeah I'm stuck there too, please let me knwo How you move forward,
I keep getting killed at that Spiked Claws after the boat ride.

    • +3

Screen is invisibly split into two. Left side is movement.. (move your finger on the guy will follow it), right side.. just tap to jump or hold to perform action (such as grab something….)
